Hacking Sigpatches for Atmosphere (Hekate, fss0, fusee & package3)

How to do fresh install? I've the same problem too and also sleep mode wont work

Spray some febreze, then re-do the install.

@Jasiek933 because Tinfoil is V20 and now the firmware and Atmosphere are on base 21 and it needs to be updated nsp for new version.

Can I still use FW 20.5? Or do I need to update to the newest to match Atmosphere? I'm having the issue issue with Tinfoil.

@ryanbw you have to stay with the firmware 20.5.0 if you want it to continue working,because it is V20 if you visit the official website,if you update to 21.0.0 or higher it will not work because it would require V21 which isn't available at the moment or you use the PC version with NUT.

The problem is with AMS 1.10+, and as 21+ requires AMS1.10+ it means kind of the same thing if you are on 21+.

If you are on older firmware you but use AMS1.10+ you will suffer the same.

@TomSwitch you're right,but if you stay with firmware 20.5.0 and Atmosphere 1.9.5 Tinfoil works without problems.

What do you need tinfoil for when you've got all these other installers? Does tinfoil's freeshop still work?

There is that one shop still work even though it is paid. It seem like 20.5 might be the last firmware that work with tinfoil if it never get updated.

I would not be surprised if there are people who are using it to access their extremely large library.

If i add the updated sigpatches for CFW 21.0.x (those contained from this post), is there still a need to Lockpick my Switch once updated to 21.0.x? I always thought lockpicking once having updated to a new firmware version is accomplishing the sigpatch task.

It is being updated, it's just the maintainer is an american family man, and this month is a bad time. He says he's going to do it "some weekend", if he has time.

as it's not just matter of recompiling with latest libnx (i've assisted with the tinfoil source code in the past, so i know)

im really new to the modding community for switch and a bit confused if this sigpatch is compatible for system versions 21.1.0 and AMS version 1.10.1 because i tried to install it earlier and i couldnt boot into hekate because of it, thankfully fixed that but reading the comments i cant make up if its complatible for 21+ and if i need to wait

and wants to test if the applet version (not installed version, not nsp version) of tinfoil from https://tinfoil.media/repo/Tinfoil Applet Mode [20.0][v2].zip will start or not (launch with titleoverride hb-menu)

(hbmenu most likely will give warning about ABI version, but ignore that warning/error)

edit: (apparently /nro_patches/ aren't loaded for homebrew, so no reason to test those - i make edit to the .nro itself instead)
try tinfoil_nro_test1 and tinfoil_nro_test_2 instead (replace tinfoil.nro when prompted)

titleoverride is "full-ram", a requirement for tinfoil anyway.
