That doesn't mean they don't work... just that you don't want to use the online connection. (big difference).

Again... there is a huge difference between "doesn't work" and "requires internet connection or an update that I can't provide in airplane mode", and saying that doesn't work because "requires connection" is misleading: You would have the same issue with an original cartridge (which obviously doesn't mean the original cartridge doesn't work).
Your issue is you try to use copies from the internet instead of your own... so here lies the "problem".
You can update the games from a different console (without connecting to the internet) using the local connection... and the internet connection games (if it's required to play and you can only play on "airplane mode"... why you even try those? ".

That is why I try new games on the Mig Switch on my modded switch under eMMC first. That doesn't go anywhere near the internet.

This is a good way, but most of those who use Mig do not have a hacked switch.

I just tried and the dump is now working... still issues with Salty if you have it active (same as with the original cartridge).

FYI to anyone, there's a new v1.2.3 firmware out on their migflash site and only after updating was my backup of Metroid Prime 4 properly detected.

I used the contact form on the mig flash site using my phone with ad block disabled and I was able to send them a message. That was a few days ago. If I try via a desktop browser it would fail.

It will work with shared dumps found online, but it will get your Switch banned by playing those shared dumps.

Has any progress been made after the hacker that dumped the mig firmware after decrypting it directly from the chip on a Mig Switch? I mean it seems he was banned from Github for posting the complete dump with the secret keys under github "mig_research" that was also deleted, so it shouldn't have taken long for someone in china to make a clone.

I made a Windows Powershell script to organize the XCI and BIN files into their own GAMENAME.xci folder

Organize-MIG.ps1 is a PowerShell script designed to organize Nintendo Switch [.xci] game files, their associated [.bin] files, and any extracted folders into neatly named folders. Each game gets its own folder ending in [.xci], making your library easy to browse and manage.

The script safely handles filenames with special characters ([ ] and ( )) and avoids errors caused by moving folders into themselves.

Oh dang that sucks. Luckily I've got a copy of the repo that I attached to this post, but I wonder why it got taken down. I believe the original poster has no further intentions of doing anything more with this other then releasing it and letting researchers do what they'd like with it. It looks like that's gone as far as it will already (see this post for what was found from analyzing the MIG update files).

There was this post in early September where the poster said

• Promise: If I successfully extract a usable firmware, I will release it publicly for the community.

Thanks for letting us know. It looks like I will pull the trigger on an original mig before the new year. Hopefully I don't regret any new hacks coming up soon and I end up regretting it before using it for a bit. I checked the CCC hacker conference and there doesn't seem to be any Nintendo Switch hacking coming up on there either.
