But what system would this work? We don't even do yearly check-ups on drivers to see if they're still eligible to drive, why not focus on that?

I'm not the type of person who wishes death on someone. However, if someone is actively teasing death, I'm not gonna lift a finger to stop them. If they want to die so badly, who am I to stop them?
BTW, it also goes both way. I'm 100% for euthanasia. If my mother had severe dementia or if she had terminal cancer and wanted to go peacefully, I would 100% support her with that decision.
