PS1/2 How to load PS1 games on PS2 from SD2PSX emmc?

Hello mates,

Is it generally possible to load PS1 games on a PS2 directly from the SD2PSX mmce, just like it works with PS2 games? It was fine with my old RPi/Popstarter setup, but not yet with the SD2PSX. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial, if possible? Thanks.

What PS2 model? All models up to (and including) early PS2 slims (SCPH-700xx) have PS1 CPU in hardware and GPU is emulated, whereas all following models emulate both CPU and GPU.

For those older models, you can only run PS1 games from disc.

For newer models that fully emulate PS1, you need to use POPStarter, which I'm not sure whether it can load from a memory card slot.

Otherwise if you want native, discs is still the only way, however if you have a Deckard (75K or later) you can use DKWDRV...but not yet via MMCE
