It likely works on the DMG because it wasn't designed to block its use, due to being intended as a Chromatic-exclusive game. This is a pretty good version of Tetris for the GBC, and while the game does work on the original DMG, the sprites are difficult to see. The game supposedly has a mode to make the game more playable on an unlit GBC display when you press select+start on startup, but I couldn't get it to work on my Gameboy Light.
I made a patch that changes the sprites and scores to have more contrast. The countdown when unpausing has also been removed. Some of the menu's graphics are still corrupted due to the game using specific GBC hardware features but you can get through them pretty easily.
This patch is meant for grayscale Gameboy's only.
I didnt knew that until now. Thanks. Not giving any money to a war profiteer and fascist-funder.
I'm not aware of a DMG patch. As mentioned in the first post, the released version of the game does unofficially run on DMG in monochrome, but with glitches. I haven't heard about any patches for the game outside of the official updates, tho I could have missed something. Is the DMG patch available for v1.2?

While I do have a Chromatic with Tetris, I don't have a way to dump the cart (Modretro should add this feature to the Chromatic, or someone else could do it since the firmware is open source). And I can't find 1.3 anywhere online.

Buy a GBxCart RW from insideGadgets which will allow you to dump the cart relatively easy. The fakes are not supported in any way, shape, or form, if you're getting one off AliExpress -- they're based off an older hardware revision and has a plethora of issues. While I do have a Chromatic with Tetris, I don't have a way to dump the cart.

If I could find a rom and Modretro didn't change too much, I can try to make a new patch. But probably not if I need to make a lot of changes.
The best dumper/flasher right now is actually GB Flash. That would be great. But why not use 1.2, it has "Battle Mode" already. Until today I did not know about 1.3 or 1.4. There's a games changelog on their site detailing the date and changes for each version. I would link to it here, but I really don't want to support that company. That would be great. So, has the GBFlash changed for better over a GBxCart RW as an affordable option? The best dumper/flasher right now is actually GB Flash. Fully working with and supported by FlashGBX, and has the best speeds.
Yes. It's the fastest and cheapest option right now, and is firmware-flashable to work flawlessly with FlashGBX.So, has the GBFlash changed for better over a GBxCart RW as an affordable option?
v1.4 is out bro.
Yes, I have all of them except for the Croc re-release. And I keep the ROMs updated.Have the other Chromatic carts been dumped yet?
