Can't play Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 on banned Switch 2

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well!


I wanted to report that Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 are currently not working on the Switch 2 unless you have the 1.2.0 update installed.


On the original Switch, it was possible to match the version using a local update, but in this case, it throws error 2211-0520.


If anyone finds a workaround or a method to bypass this issue, please share it here. It might help others facing the same problem.

EDIT:

Downgrading my CFW V1 Switch to 18.1.0 and dumping my own game from the cartridge and updating via another switch and THEN to the S2 works flawlessly.

So far so good, the pointer is a bit wonky but it's nothing too distracting.

I'm using the joycons!

No! banned for another reasons.

I use my physical copy of SMG 1+2 load it into my CFW Switch on 18.1.0, install it via Tinfoil and update the game to 1.2.0 (in my case using a legit OLED Switch) then using local version update from the CFW Switch to the banned Switch 2.

that's the part i not understand... how to move a game updated to switch1 to switch2 how?

I think he meant how you ban your NS2? currently only 2 ways exist 1) you used a mig switch on the console or 2 either you (or someone else) dumped a switch 1 game and both were online

How does one even get banned on a Switch 2? Does that mig switch flashcart thing "work" (with a ban) on a switch 2?

I update my games for my banned switch 2 using a banned switch v1 running cfw 21.2.0.

No issues whatsoever.
