Last night I lost my 124% game file for Jak 2 on the Jak & Daxter Trilogy. My last backup of my PSTV was the day before I started my play through, of course. Worst case scenario.

Anyway, I managed to find a save file online that appears to be almost exactly the save file I lost. It’s perfect. My only trouble has been figuring out how to transfer the save file for JUST Jak 2.

Usually I would just copy the entire PCSA00080 folder from the downloaded file and transfer it to ux0->user->00->savedata and then there’d be nothing left to do.

In this case though, I do not want to overwrite my other 100% saves in Jak 1 and Jak 3. I attempted to transfer the .dat file to the PCSA00080 folder on my PSTV, but the game file doesn’t appear when I launch Jak 2.

I’m sure this is quite obvious to many of you on here, but I’m guessing it’s not working because it requires so of the other files from within PCSA00080. Possibly something from sce_pfs or sce_sys? If I sound stupid it’s because I have no idea what I’m talking about beyond the basic transferring of the entire PCSA00080 folder.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help!

First of all, you don't sound stupid. You have a legitimate concern about file-saving. I'd love to help, but I don't really know any more about this than you do.

However, there are a lot of digitally-minded people in this community. I've seen threads where these cats are tossing comments back and forth, and it's all GREEK to me. Someone here will be able to help you, provided that they can get just the save file from Jak 2. If it's possible, someone will come along and help out. If it's NOT possible, the right person will step in and say so.

Give this thread a bit of time, the right people will be showing up. This kind of thing happens every day here, so be patient and your time here will not go unnoticed or unrewarded.

Definitely possible. I found the save file you are trying to import and did it without overwriting my Jak 1 and 3 saves. I suggest you make a backup of your PCSA00080 folder first in case anything goes wrong tho.

I'm not sure if it's necessary, but I usually have a save file of my own in the slots that are going to be replaced, so start by doing that. In this case, my Jak 2 already has all 4 slots occupied.

Transfer the downloaded save files to your vita using vitashell and then find the SLOT0 folder from that download and copy ONLY the jak2_savedata.dat files (I placed SLOT0 in ux0:user/00 to make it easier to find).

Next, go to ux0:user/00/savedata and hover over PCSA00080 and press triangle then select open decrypted. Paste the files into the folder.

Saves should be imported successfully❗ :)

Vid shows my save files and then going through the process above, Hopefully not too confusing lol.
