Hyperbole obviously (though I don't doubt some people here probably tried to make this argument unironically), the point still stands that Trump's death is not something you should be celebrating. I really disliked Biden and Obama but I would not celebrate if they died, I would not feel bad either (as you certainly wouldn't if Trump died). You can have a middle ground that most people can't reach because they've been extremely propagandized.

Is him being president reason enough to ignore his failings as a human being beforehand? I HOPE we can agree that he is a serial sexual abuser. That isn't hyperbole in the slightest, it's the objective truth. Is it not a good thing if a serial abuser is no longer with us?

He was certainly more effective than most republicans in the past 20 years, is that what makes you so angry?

Trump doesn't have a cult following. Well, maybe among boomers, but it is not boomers "hunting immigrants". When Trump dies, his "cult following" won't die with him, you're talking about a movement that wont end any time soon, and will continue to evolve and probably become more radicalized, the same is true about the progressive movement and people on the left. Bernie isn't the "leader" of this "cult", and it won't certainly die when he dies, which probably is not long from now. What you are seeing is simply a reaction to America's living conditions deteriorating, it's very ignorant and narrow minded to tie that, which has been brewing for decades, to a single man that, yes, will die soon. America as a country will inevitably balkanize, Trump didn't start that and it wont end with him.

Trump has been convicted of sexual assault. He's also had 26 other women come forward and accuse him of assault as well. So the history is there along with him admitting assault.

I haven't had a thing to say about Trump dying and the collective wishing for it in here. He's gonna die, you'll get nothing more than a shrug from me over that. And it could be tomorrow. But probably not. He did a press conference today and looked fine.

As for 'his failings as a human being' I don't roll with the personality cult that surrounds him (like it was for Obama too, fwiw). The only President in my lifetime who MAYBE was a decent human being was Jimmy Carter. And he was a TERRIBLE President. So when I vote, I'm not really looking at personality of the individual. As I've explained before, in national elections I always vote for the candidate with the best chance to beat the Democrat nominee. It could be the Quakers revived, if their nominee has the best shot against the Democrat, they have my vote.

Because it's not a legal term so I translated it to the closest thing which would be "sex offender". I'm pretty sure half the people here could qualify as "serial sexual abuser". The actual quote was that you can if you're a star, and the girls wouldn't object. Because of the kind of girls they are, see? And he's probably right. The problem with Trump is that he had his whole life like that. Lots of women throwing themselves at him. But every once in a while, there is someone who wasn't interested, and he didn't care. Thus, the 26 sexual assault claims (And one can assume many MANY more that never wanted to come forward). You're focusing on the willing participants, and I focus on the unwilling. If a player goes out and screws 100 women, but rapes one. That still makes that person horrible.
