The order went through because their registers' software doesn't have edge case failsafes, and the human employees aren't paid enough to give a fuck so they filled up 12,357 cups before running out of cups and notifying management.

They probably don't. None of that actually happened, in reality the system apparently crashed when the guy made the order.

Probably related to the fact Chinese as a language has no gender, and the Philippines was influenced by Spanish colonization

I'm thinking it's more because typical English nonsense... if "Because Chinese as a language has no gender" then in Spanish we wouldn't have:

- Chino (male Chinese)
- China (female Chinese)

English 99% of the time has no gender
Chinese 99% of the time has no gender

So together, no gender

Now Spanish 99% of the time HAS gender
