Since I can't provide the main.dol because it's copyright material I prepared a folder to simple patch.

Note it only applies to the USA version of the game (I tried DCKR v1.01)
What it patch: Y=run, B=jump, ZR=blow/stomp
  1. Open your ISO with WiiScrubber
  2. In DATA partition look for main.dol file, right click extract and save it on DKRC CC patch folder
  3. In the DKRC CC patch folder open apply_patch.bat
  4. With the main.dol patched go to WiiScrubber again, select main.dol right click replace and select the patched main.dol
  5. ???
  6. Profit
Now you can inject your shiny new DKRC with gamepad support :P

The patcher .exe is part of @Wiimm tools, and the .gct code is from @crediar so I don't take credit on that.

I know it's been ages but the file was still up. I tried patching it, but kept on running into dll errors even after placing it inside of Wiimm tools folder and even installing the full cygwin package. Maybe it's a win11 thingy...

Can someone refer me to a working patcher or please just share that specific 1 file...
Has someone by any chance done it for the EUR and JP rips too?

Here you can find a guide and also a lot of new classic controller hacks: https://gbatemp.net/threads/new-classic-controller-hacks.659837/

Should be pretty easy with the automated gct cheat embedder mentioned in the guide, but feel free to ask if there's any problem. There's also a new patch for dk returns if you want, with working analog support.
Also, I don't know about the jp one, but both the old and new pal codes work perfectly.

Thanks for the great reference. So far, I was able to rebuild the iso. In this case of Donkey Kong Country Returns. I since then tried several ways to inject it... But I'm not being really succesful. The game runs, the Wii U doesn't crash. But when I choose classic controller, the inputs don't respond. When I choose Horizontal wiiMote, I get the message "please remove the unsupported external extension controller". When I chose none of those options, the gamepad doesn't work and only original wiimotes work.
What option am I supposed to inject it with? Thanks

Are you stuck on the "press A and B to play" screen? Remember that B is L/ZR, so you have to press A and L/ZR to pass that screen.
Also check if you have the correct version of the game, the ntsc one has 2, USA and USA (Rev 1), make sure to use the correct patch.

Make sure you're using the right revision code. I had the same problem and I didn't realize I needed the Rev 1 code. Also check if you selected "Classic controller emulation" in the injector. Remember to use the analogs as well.

Thanks for the feedbacks. But I'm not getting there yet. I took the EUR version to make sure I didn't have the wrong one. In the screenshot, you can see the gct I generated. And after patching the main.dol and injecting you can see what I get in the screenshot. I used "Classic Controller Emulation". So right now, maybe I'm making some mistake that I'm not experienced enough to notice. Could you guys take a look?

You mentioned the main.dol, so i assume you're using the old method of ingecting gct codes. Use this instead: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/p945....zip?dl=0&e=3&rlkey=n4uhselp912hchf19d1zeea5t
Read the readme for instructions but should be pretty easy: put the gct in the gct folder and drag the iso in the "Drag iso file here.bat", and you will get the correctly patched iso

Hello everyone, so I used to use usb loader gx to boot my gamecube game on Wii and vWii, both work the same way. However, recently I'm trying to use a Wii U VC version of the Homebrew channel or GX to be able the use of the gamepad as a controller and When I go to GX and select a game, the game boot to nintendont asking "sd or usb ?". Gx settings don't change anything and nintendont ones are already set to autotboot to try.

Is it something We can't solve because that's how Wii U VC works ? No homebrew redirection inside the Inject.

I don't have a Wii U VC version of directly usb loader gx to try it but I guess it would result the same thing.

Just curious, but is there any way the injector could map button presses to things like wiimote motion? If so, there is some untapped potential for things like prime trilogy on the wii u. (I'm currently reviewing the source code)

Unfortunately this is not possible. You can only swap L/R buttons with ZL/ZR. If you want to tackle motion controls, you have to dive deep into the hacking scene. Just look at the thread "new classic controller hacks" by vague rant. There is a tutorial for that with the game rhythm heaven fever. Let's just say there will be no more new cc hacks since the master left

Thanks for the info, who was the master of classic controller romhacks?
