Is it possible to have a 3DS unlock your doors?

besides tech like RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, with Wifi it is possible:
if you have a a webpage like HomeAssistant inside your network and your locks are connected to HomeAssistant and your 3DS can access your network, it would work

Where is Bluetooth in the 3DS though?

I mean, there *is* a Bluetooth coprocessor, but we haven't yet found a way to unlock it, let alone use it.

Only Bluetooth audio, yeah. No other feature should work.

that's still awesome! I have a buddy who'd been wanting to connect his headphones to his 3DS for awhile and frankly so would I!

Not at all. We don't even know how to unlock the coprocessor. Drivers don't exist for it. Not even a chance of getting it working in userland. Probably can't even use with WiFi, and most likely Bluetooth 2.1 or less, so pretty useless.

they can use an audio transmitter, there's no need to make hardware modifications, the one i got from amazon works flawlessly with my 3DS
