I'm not sure, sometimes when you remake them with the same icon files they work fine in FW19 so I think that maybe that there's an issue with the way that jpg files are being packed. I'm thinking about making a new nro forwarder gui with visual studio which can do better image conversion using this library:

https://github.com/kleisauke/net-vips/

I've had a look at the script that this program uses and installed AutoIT to compile the scripts into an exe, but I can't see anything wrong. TBH The program needs a refresh though and I have my own ideas on what I want to do.

Also I think that hbl.nsp/nsp-forwarder needs updated, wait unil the new Atmosphere is released.
https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbloader

(I've added the new debug flag to this).
Hi,bro. Thanks for you method to fix custome nsp to pack and play normal in fw 19.
I have to replace control nca icon less than 100 kb.
After I did this, hacbrew pack nsp can run normally after packaging and installation.

I will come to fix other fw19 error custome mod nsp game.

Thanks for you method.Your are the best! :grog: :grog:

So the latest version of NSP forwarder like Switchfin, works with AMS 1.8.0 and Fw 19, but it doesn't work in AMS 1.7.2 and Fw 18 right? That's is what I experience based on my testing.

When I tried to compile a NSP with hackbrewpack, everytools is updated except for npdm tool, even the json file has the allow_debug_prod flags set already, I noticed that it can be run on latest AMS and previous version of it.

I did install everytools from official switch-tools repo, and checkout to this commit https://github.com/switchbrew/switch-tools/commit/22471a1f5a854ceca7be9d7f517c30d036655cd2, recompile again and import the old npdmtool

Can someone confirm this?
Maybe it's a way to make some homebrews backwards compatible?

you are completely right.

there is no way to make new homebrew back compatible with old Atmosphère versions, but if you make homebrew for ATM 1.8.0 and you run ATM 1.8.0 on FW 17 everything will work fine.

For create new Forwarders you can use https://github.com/mrdude2478/NRO-Forwarder or https://nsp-forwarder-git-fork-masagrator-main-tootallteam.vercel.app/

Hmmm but I have a NSP that just works for ATM 1.8.0 and 1.7.2, I haven't tested a atmosphere version lower than 1.7.2 though

Hello, may I ask if it's possible to use a Switch game cartridge as a frontend to jump to an NRO program, without relying on an installed NSP? For example, can I extract the resources from an NSP and place them in the cartridge game's title ID folder to replace the cartridge content, in order to achieve the effect of jumping to an NRO?
