That's capitalism for ya, they'll raise the price until the revenue from price increases are no longer offsetting the loss of subscribers. At times they'll probably have to lower the price too, especially if we're headed for recession.
Did it ever occur to you that these two scenarios might not be mutually exclusive? That maybe, just maybe, the show was losing money IN ADDITION to it being cancelled as a show of good faith to Trump? Come the fuck on, dude. If it were purely financial and not politically motivated in any way, do you HONESTLY think it would've happened right now, right after the settlement? It just happened to get cancelled at the exact same time Bill Owens was pressured into stepping down from 60 Minutes?

You do realize he was convicted for falsifying business records? You can still get caught and get punished. In addition to your business can still go under from greed by people exposing things online, you think they can get away with anything because we have no choice and still buy whatever they have, but we've succeeded before in taking them down
And the punishment ultimately amounted to what? Maybe one tenth of what he made from another scam? The US is incapable of holding the rich accountable to any meaningful extent, regardless of how vile the crime committed is, and that's why we are where we are now. I digress though, at least people get something in return for the subscription cost of a streaming service. It's up to the individual to determine which one(s) provide the most value for them.

So the multiple people who worked on the Late Show and who are close to Colbert who've come forward saying that Colbert's cancellation was due to the merger, those people are not evidence? So your argument...in court...your legal argument...is that testimony doesn't count and should be ignored? Lol. Ok. You are literally in no position to be demanding "evidence" when every bit of scientific data disagrees with your entire ideology, which is literally founded upon faith, and you'll dismiss said data based on your own ideas of a "woke conspiracy" within the deep state.
