So if we've done the Express SD update, Bananza should play just fine, without any further updates, right?
That isn't going to help if Nintendo institute the mandatory firmware update that is necessary for access to eShop.

The update for Express SD card is just one time that allow to get card work on Switch 2 and it don't anything with games.

just update
there won't be any hack for at least 2 years.
Yeah, firmware based exploit is extremely rare for Switch since last time was 4.1 that released in December 2017.

It means hacking would be more of hardware based that would require a modding, akin to patched Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED require modding to access to CFW.

Well there were security glitches in later versions of Horizon but it wasn't worth it for someone who knows what the fuck they're doing to spend the time developing an exploit for end-users when there were already unpatchable vulnerabilities in the hardware.

I mean if I buy it physical, it should play, right?

Folks I got a question but did not want to make a new post. I am planning on getting this game but was curious, is there any known difference between 19.0.0 and 19.1.0?

Donkey Kong Bananza comes with 19.1.0 on the cart. If your firmware is lower than that, it will prompt you to update, but then the game will play fine on a system that has never been connected to the internet.

Switch 1 games did not work on 19.0.0 and still did not work on 19.1.0. I did not test an SD card.

Yeah, there are members reported that work.

However, based on Super Mario Odyssey, it may have free update with new stuffs that would require game to be updated, so it won't happen right now.
