I'm not really a forum guy, so I apologize in advance for any etiquette or formatting mistakes I'm going to make.

Recently, I got my DSi running twilight++ with the goal of playing Pokemon Emerald Imperium. The install went smoothly, and I followed a youtube tutorial on getting gbarunner2 onto the DS as well.
After being unable to run the emerald imperium rom I looked into it and learned that hacked roms have a lot of compatibility issues with gbarunner2 on ds, and that pokemon emerald itself is not currently supported on gbarunner2. I kept looking for fixes and saw on the wiki that there was a "fork" of the "ROM3M branch of GBARunner2" called "DSL enhanced edition by Void Star". I'm brand new to all this so I have no idea what to do with that info. So I decided to be reckless and just download the file from the link and replace the files in my SD card. I'm not surprised that GBArunner2 doesn't work at all now, I just wonder if there is a way to fix it/use this fork correctly. I'm attaching photos that I assume might be relevant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First 2 snips are the wiki page that I tried to fix my problem with, last snip is the folder I messed with. There were originally 2 .nds files named GBARunner2_arm7dldi_ds.nds that i deleted when I moved the arm9 file in to replace them. Then in an attempt to reverse what I did i just deleted all of the _armdldi files.

When using TWiLight Menu++ on a flashcard, it'll automatically use the ROM3M build of GBARunner2 to run Pokemon Emerald.
Otherwise, it should work just fine outside of flashcards.

Some Pokemon ROM hacks are known to not work within GBARunner2.
Try installing GBARunner3 by following the steps here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/gbarunner3.651088/post-10631340

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried following the instructions on the forum post you linked, but I don't understand what to do. It told me to download the latest hicode branch build of GBARunner3, and the link that's provided brings me to to a github workflow page. Which of these files am I meant to download and copy into my SD root folder?

Edit: I was able to find the .nds file the tutorial was referring to, and I installed GBARunner3 successfully. I tested it with a Pokemon Ruby ROM and it worked. The Emerald ROM hack called Pokemon Emerald Imperium did not work. I get stuck on a white screen that follows the Gameboy splash screen, the same issue from trying on GBARunner2. Am I just SOL for now until compatibility improves? What else can I try from my end?

Otherwise, you can post your question in the GBARunner3 thread I linked earlier.
