Declared minutes ago by Trump via far right social media, the US has now dropped bombs on Iran in an unprovoked attack without congressional or public approval. Not content with decades of meaningless occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, warmongering Republicans are back at it again. Sorry Gen Z and Alpha, housing, infrastructure, and healthcare were apparently fated to never see improvements in your lifetime.

Edit: we now have reporting that Iran was warned ahead of time before the bombs were dropped, and the US hit nothing but empty desert. Iran's uranium stockpiles were moved elsewhere. Following this, Iran responded by warning the US ahead of retaliatory missile strikes which caused no damage either. The entire conflict now appears to have been a coordinated stunt to make weak leaders look like strongmen, even if only temporarily.

Makes sense, now Trump has something to distract from his scams and corruption.

Plus now he can use wartimes exceptions the laws to abuse even further from his power as president.

According to Netanyahu, Iran has been two weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon since 1999. It's only a matter of time now until American soldiers start dying for the sole purpose of keeping an Israeli war criminal in power.

he did plenty of strikes during his 2014 run this the same thing. there was no war declared it was do to non negotiations and i would not trust Iran with nukes anyway.

Apples and oranges. The US was strictly in a support role in Libya using drones, and that was only after their government was already on the verge of collapse. These bombs were dropped via manned aircraft, and Iran absolutely has the capability for retaliatory strikes against the US both abroad and at home. Forcing an end to this war is likely to require boots on the ground, and we're once again likely to have no exit strategy with a Republican in charge.

On top of that, so many individual ongoing wars leave blind spots and openings elsewhere. China may view this as a good opportunity to invade Taiwan, and just a couple more small conflicts in addition could plunge us into WW3. Dangerous times with so many reckless people in charge.
