we need a tutorial/guide on how to build your own theme. and i don't mean theme injector, i mean for switchlayout editor and such because i want to know how the theme builders where able to change the icons to vertical/horizontal, how they were able to change the border color, set a GIF background and everything, i looked online and there was no guide at all except the one for switch layout editor itself on github that only tells you the command to customize the layout only.

What I'd think could be useful is Syncthing support to back up savegames. I'm using this on my systems to also sync save files and notes across my systems, one of it being a truenas server as a backup. Advantage of this vs. Google Drive is that it is opensource and local with the possibility to use proxy servers on the internet.

PrBoom (a source port of the original Doom games and\or their 'engine') or it's spiritual successor, DSDA-Doom. Alongside such I think a frontend\launcher for loading PWADS easily would be essential.

A few port suggestions:

* An improved version of MS-DOS game Abuse with smooth 60 FPS support (you can see how smooth it runs in the video below) - https://github.com/metinc/abuse

* Remakes of Abe’s Oddysee / Exoddus are not that bad but there is definitely something magical about the original games... And there is an open-source project which recreates / expands these versions! - https://aliveteam.github.io/

* Frogatto & Friends is a platformer with highly polished pixel art, music and an open-source engine - https://github.com/frogatto/frogatto Users would have to provide graphics/music files from the Steam version on their own but IMHO it's worth it!

how can I help, I will love to play some ps2 games on the go on my switch, is someone working on this can I support them in any way ? have you find something ?
the switch just doesn't have the computing power to emulate ps2 games- ps1 is as far as it can go. it can also play psp games and, under the right circumstances, ps vita games

There's a PS2 emulator you can run on Switch Linux with decent performance. The downside is the emulator is closed source and abandoned, so while it has fairly good game compatibility, the incompatibilities it does have with certain games are not going to get fixed. I think the name is aethersx2 or similar.

You can install android and use nethersx2 for ps2 games on switch. Just have to overclock first.

A homebrew, Tesla overlay that lets you play games in vr just saying someone could do a Homebrew, tesla overlay that devides the screen into 2 parts making use of those usless vr headsets for the switch

Is there a way to disable the annoying pop-up on the homemenu when you use a custom button mapping?

Maybe. It's very difficult to tell where the fuck anything is in that repository from a cursory glance.
