Hi! probably a weird question but after setting my 2DS XL up with NTR Viewer and NTR CFW 3.6 HR, I was delighted to find I could have my 3DS games on my PC! but it did not work for my DS game that I'm trying to speedrun (and the emulator sucks)

the funny part is that I managed to get a .CIA for the og FF7 running on my system, which is AWESOME! but the crazier part is that because its a .CIA that's marked as "virtual console"?
IT STREAMS THROUGH NTR CFW!!!

so now I've been poking around trying to convert this NDS into a .CIA but the option to do it in GM9 is not showing up and I can't find a converter for anything thats not DSIware!

so does anyone know if converting it to a CIA is even possible/if it would allow it to stream through NTR if it was a CIA and the system thought it was a 3DS game rather then DS

the game in question is "Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon" (the DS version obviously)

Hi, im not really sure what im doing here but i just want to ask.

A friend of mine has a dead 2ds that is an OFW, but he wants to play mhgen on an emulator again. To my knowledge the save file of that game is saved on the sd card. Would it be possible to extract the save file from said sd card on a pc, with nothing ever done to the 2ds (its clean official no CFW whatsoever)? Thanks

the saves are encrypted. In order to decrypt them the 3ds has to be modded, and you need to have 2 system specific files at hand (which can be obtained only after you mod the 3ds), boot9.bin and movable.sed, without them it's impossible.

That game runs in an emulator in 3DS mode. DS games run in DS mode. Similarlly, mGBA runs GBA games in 3DS mode. Virtual console GBA injections (and open_agb_firm) run in GBA mode.

Wireless streaming with NTR CFW is only available in 3DS mode. Period. The only way to stream in DS mode on a 3DS is if you get a hardware capture card. These are expensive and I'm not sure they're at all easy to find anymore.

(Streaming from a DS Lite, however, is relatively simple and inexpensive solutions are available.)

That is not possible. You can install a forwarder that will put the DS game on your Home menu, but it will still run in DS mode when you start it.

There is no way to magically make the system "think" a DS game is a 3DS game.

Not really..? I'm not sure why you would say that. (Also boot9.bin is absolutely not system-specific.)

If the unit is completely dead, you will have to bruteforce the encryption key. In order to do this, you will either need a Mii QR code generated on the unit, or you will have to run homebrew on a second unit that has the first unit fully registered (with Mii, not just "provisionally registered") in its Friend list.

If you have neither of those things and the unit is completely dead, then there's pretty much no hope of decrypting the save data.

Ah damn... I cant brute force it via smthn online?

I have a DS Lite! what do you recommend I do to stream with it?
You still need to do a hardware mod. Google will tell you much; I'm not up to speed on all of the most recent developments. https://www.retrorgb.com/open-source-nds-lite-composite-video-out-mod.html

Please see my post above. You need a starting point in order to bruteforce the key; otherwise it could take years of computing time.

Does anybody know how to find a specific skill's dynamic address in monster hunter? I've tried searching for a bool, but I get too many results.

Like I said when you go to software and looked at my titles and they had an x over them. when you reinstall the file with FBI it does save right directly over that game and it just restores the functionality.

How I decided to just start from scratch. And I went to the h store on my PC even though I know it's on the system itself. In between life happening. When I got a moment I would go through one by one. Every game available for the system in North America and watch a YouTube video on the gameplay of the games I didn't recognize. And I just downloaded them with their updates in DLC. Put them all in one folder.

And yesterday when I got to work at 11:00 a.m. I hit install and delete all CIA files. It finished at 12:30 a.m. I have a 256 microSD card and it works great. There's no lag or anything like that that I can notice. Just when you turn the system on it might take like five extra seconds

If you bought a different system and didn't transfer anything, then why are the games you never installed showing up in Data Management!? This makes no sense. Are you sure they're your games and not just games from the previous owner?

If you remove your SD card, do the games still appear there?

If you never did any kind of System Transfer, then none of the data on the SD card will be readable on your current system. There's no point to leaving that old data there. You should just backup everything on the SD card (just in case) and format it.

hello, i tried downloading all your pokémon ultra moon files (eur, us, taiwan) and unfortunately, none of them work on my 3ds, even though all the other games i’ve downloaded from you so far worked just fine. do you know if there’s a solution to this problem? i had the same issue with ultra sun, sun, and moon. on this site myrient
and
same goes for pokémon black 2. none of the nds apfix files i download work. i need them in the (eur) version.

I have a stargate 3ds

pokemon gen 7 isnt going to work on stargate 3ds because it uses newer anti piracy and stargate doesnt support those

pokemon gen 5 is supposed to work with the ap fix, I dont know why it doesnt work for you except that maybe your rom is bad. the rom needs to be patched for the ap fix, the flashcart cant load external patches and I havent been able to get it to read cheats files to use the ap fix cheat

if you mod your 3ds with custom firmware then you can make some hex edits to the gen 7 roms to remove the anti piracy, and then they will work on the stargate card. but only while your console is on custom firmware, because editing the rom breaks the signatures

2 new things come up.
Is there a way to download RPG maker fes games? It's a shame for game preservation the servers are down.

H store had Mario sunset shores. But it installs Japanese Mario picross on GB.

Is the patch out there? Nsmb2 is 20 at GameStop. Before I buy it for mods I fist need to find the mods

So I have two 2ds' and I'd like to transfer the stored save files from Checkpoint between them without taking the SD card out. Is it possible to transfer them wirelessly between the two systems?

Normally you could do that by connecting both units to the same Wifi hotspot, running FTPd on each unit, and then using an FTP client on a third device (like a PC or a smartphone) on the same network to transfer the file.

I'm not sure if there's an FTP client for the 3DS that can connect to FTPd on another 3DS. And I really don't think there's a way to do it between two units directly, i.e. without a hotspot.

I haven't updated my Luma in a long time. A REALLY long time. It's version 6.6

I tried to update to the newest version using universal updater but it is still at 6.6 when I hold select when booting on the system. I'm guessing it's because this version of luma predates universal updater or something like that. What steps do I need to take to update?

I followed multiple videos but I noticed that none of the tutorials had the person with a version of luma anywhere as old as the one I have.
