AI art isn't Art if we throw it a bone and call it art, the inevitable point b is in the words of syndrone: "If everyone is super, no one is super" if everyone were to hypothetically be driven to use AI art there would be 0 incentive to get into art as a hobby and or career, the beauty of art is those who get further than other from sheer patience and perseverance, AI art has no journey and it has no satisfying end to it when attempting to approach it from the same view as regular art, and if any AI defender sees this and disagrees, I'm sorry but you're setting yourself up, people take the easy way by using AI art, by why should that stop one from taking the right way?

Thank you 🫂

Why can't you see the troubles some of us go through when we have art that we spent so long to draw and use up our creative energy, only for it to be used in a data set that's used to train AI to generate art is less than 10 seconds that almost perfectly imitates your style
Idk, die mad about it I guess. You can't put Pandora back in the box.

Okay wow, stop caring then

"That's why people defend AI so much, because they're not artists. They don't have an artistic mind. Art is just face value "looking at something pretty" for them, so AI creations are deemed good enough.

I will never even call AI generated things "art". Art is and will always be created by a human with a pov, a passion, skills and struggles."

This is like advocating for fascism because the Nazis had captured most of Europe.
You don't understand how important art is to some of us and it shows a basic lack of empathy from your character. I try to be understanding of other peoples perspectives but I feel fully justified in saying you shouldn't be allowed to be here.

You need to get out of your mom's basement. Come to a Tokyo Game Show and check out the cosplay. Go to a park in Harajuku on a Sunday, during the summer. Yes, there are real people who look and dress like this, in Japan. Usually not such a set of lungs... but close sometimes...
I live in your mom’s basement

And hell, my work put foodporn sub beyond shame for the overall lack of porn factor in those posts.

I stand by what I said. Art is one of the most important things to the human experience, to my human experience. So important that we made art before we had spoken language or agriculture. Trying to justify taking that away is a horrendous thing to do in my opinion.

Again, it's not going anywhere since that gentle ball tickle from a real hand is painlessly obvious when looking at 2 similar pieces, since it's gonna be mad lawsuits for blatant style copying.

She doesn't have a basement. You live in her septic tank. Stick with family, I guess. :rofl2:
Oh, well someone’s mom’s basement is currently being occupied me. It’s not my mom so sucks to be whoever’s mom I am hunting

okay, first of all, pandora wasn't in the box, she just opened it
the metaphor you were looking for is putting toothpaste back in the tube

secondly, yeah, i will die mad about it
generative ai is going to be used to deny work to millions, and severely devalue the work of countless others
we discovered the anti-worker equation and it's being pushed by the people who most benefit from it at the expense of the rest of us to the tune of billions of dollars
you literally mentioned in this thread that it's convenient for you to use it rather than paying people for the labor
utopian fiction would have it that we use these inventions to reduce the need for labor, but the society we live in has made it so labor is necessary to exist, to eat, to be housed, people are taking multiple jobs just to pay rent
you'll forgive me if the most consequential invention in the history of our race being used to drive us towards dystopia ruffles my jammies just a little
