I'm talking about free trial of internet itself.I don't remember having any problems connecting with the old Windows 95, and later Windows 98 computers at home.
Other than having pre-paid services, I really can't complain as I wasn't using it for other services than information for school and whatnot.
If I couldn't find the required information for a project in the vast catalog of encyclopedias I owned, it was Internet time.
It became tedious around the age of Windows 7, when companies began to offer Internet services monthly.
Demand made providers... provide awful service quality just to meet demand.
Still happening today.
