The original modmii.exe wouldn't open modmii classic at all for you right? And the other 2 alternatives at least allowed u to run modmii.exe instead of being forced to use modmii.bat, is that correct?

Please confirm the above for me, then we can investigate getting WiiPy to work on older versions of Windows by trying this on top of the other changes we discussed
As suggested, I have created three directories, copied the binary files of modmii.exe and changed the path to WinPy in modmii.bat.

I can confirm that classic ModMii only starts from m8mod32 and m8mod703, i.e. the 32 bit binary you provided and the version from 7.0.3. BTW my Win7 is 64bit.

What would also be ideal is you helping me to help you, lol. I've asked a few times for you to try some stuff and report back, I guess if you don't care then it's w/e

Sometimes more important things come in between. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you very much
But I can't choose v11 beta 3. When I selected 12 = d2x-v11-beta3,
then it become d2x-v11-beta3-FM051.
What is FM051 ? What does it mean ?
Best Regards

PS: I used modmii 7.0.3
This is a bug in 7.0.3 that I fixed in 8.0.0 and forgot about (wasn't even in the changelog), just update to the latest version of ModMii. Or if you want to manually apply this specific fix in 7.0.3 first look inside ModMii's support folder and erase the more "More-cIOSs" folder (or just the versions not toggling correctly), then open \support\modmii.bat and replace this:
Code:
support\sfk filter "temp\list2.txt" ++"%CurrentcIOS%" -write -yes>nul
with this:
Code:
support\sfk filter "temp\list2.txt" -le+"%CurrentcIOS%" -write -yes>nul

Or if u just want to enable the current recommended version of d2x on 7.0.3 without having to change anything, just choose the default version of d2x, then have modmii check for updates and it will enable the latest recommended cIOS (currently d2x v11 beta3)

When I looked at this issue again for u I had forgot I fixed it already but it lead to me noticing another small issue. In ModMii 8.0.0 two additional d2x versions appear in the list that shouldn't be there (see pic). If you try and choose them ModMii just says "You Have Entered an Incorrect Key" so it's not a big deal, but now that I noticed I'll clean that up too

The issue is present in 7.0.3 too but you also get a not so nice (but harmless) <was unexpected at this time. message

Edit:

during this whole process I got a little mixed up and thought other non-d2x 7z's I had uploaded to github were causing your issue, so I made a bunch of silly (but harmless) small commits to github that were unnecessary. hopefully I don't get any flak over it, lol, but if I do I'll let it roll of my back cuz I'm XFlak! lol

Edit2:

It's unfortunate I initially read your post during the 6 minutes before u edited it to say you're running 7.0.3. Had I seen that sooner I would have saved myself a couple hours and few unnecessary commits. Oh well

Edit3:

To fix the extra d2x options that shouldn't be there, change this
Code:
support\sfk filter -spat "temp\list.txt" -and+".7z" -and+"d2x/" -rep _"*temp/d2x/"__ -rep _".7z*"__ -write -yes>nul
to:
Code:
support\sfk filter -spat "temp\list.txt" -and+".7z" -and+"d2x/" -!"Link--primary" -rep _"*temp/d2x/"__ -rep _".7z*"__ -write -yes>nul

Thanks! In ModMii 8.0.1 I'll have it switch exe's even if running Win7 64-bit (instead of only 32-bit), but other than that, not a lot of continued support for old versions of windows. Maybe I'll share a 7.0.3b with the above fix applied if there's demand, until then anyone stuck on 7.0.3 and is building cIOSs with it will want to manually apply the fix above if they have issue selecting their preferred version of d2x

I had replaced as this. But problem still exist .

Well that's the price I pay for refusing to get a new computer to use Windows 11 I guess. 😎

I hope everything is okay you seemed upset with me sorry if I made you a tad upset
Post automatically merged:

Yes, u can resoftmod as if it were a virgin, or u can drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do
Also thank you for the help

Warning: Anyone using modmii 8.0.0 might be prompted to enable d2x v11 beta 2 even though v11 beta 3 is recommended. Modmii 8.0.0 is just checking if a d2x version other than what it was shipped with is enabled and offers to revert to default. The only difference between d2x v11beta2 and beta3 is for cIOS248[38] for Wii (vWii is functionally the same). Wii's using beta2 with base 38 may have issues launching emunand titles, I.E. Beta3 will ensure that automatic cIOS selection in Usbloader GX works correctly with WiiWare and VC games on the Wii.

Modmii 8.0.1 (coming soon) will fix this so that it will always suggest the latest recommended d2x, even if it's not what came bundled.

ModMii 8.0.1 won't be as massive an update as 8.0.0, but it will have some new features and improvements, I.E. It will NOT just be an update with only bugfixes and other minor improvements/changes. I can't wait to share it with all of you, but it's not quite ready yet.

So I got my pc video card working, is anyone gonna test ModMii in wine?

Edit: Test if Internet works in your wine install by going to http://www.frogfind.com/ in the included version of Internet Explorer, remember it has to be 64 bit wine or ModMii won't run.

Hi. I'm encountering an issue downloading some of the files for my Wii installation. Specifically, I can't download CleanRip, csm-installer, Priiloader, Nintendont, and YAWM Manager. I'm not using a proxy, and i tried disabling my firewall, so I'm stumped as to what caused it. I'm using the most up to date version of Modmii, to install homebrew on an unmodified 4.3U Wii. I didn't use any advanced or unrecommended features. I'm using the COPY TO SD download option if it means anything.

I disarmed both the antivirus and my firewall, no changes. Actually, its somehow gotten worse and now fails to install WilBrand as well.

Check file permissions.

Both the Folder ModMii is on and the files on the folder have to have write access.

Also you can write the files to the "Write To SD" folder and just copy and paste them to your SD card.

Also run ModMii in Administrator mode.

This is because the OpenShopChannel (oscwii.org) is down right now and ModMii retrieves some of its downloads from there. Unfortunately there's not much you can do until it's back online other than to manually retrieve the missing downloads from the original author's github's.

It should hopefully be up relatively soon. There's an issue with OSC's server hosting provider and they're waiting to hear back from them to get the server back online.

Oh, that makes sense, thank you. I'm relieved it wasn't an error on my end honestly

I'm having an issue with ModMii v8.0.0, two of the files are not downloading properly. I'm using the app to mod a wii using an sd card. File 45 Priiloader and file 48 Priiloader Installer are not downloading, the command line displays "download failed, skipping...". The wizard completes and then displays a failure popup "Some downloads are invalid, missing or were not updated properly". Not sure what do do about this, my previous version worked flawlessly.

Hello,

You can view this guide (Priiloader) if you wish ==>
https://wii.hacks.guide/priiloader.html

I will include some enhancements in ModMii 8.0.1 so that ModMii won't crash in the event oscwii.org is offline again in the future and it tries to download something from there.

"Error 404 oscwii.org is offline please try again later."
