"Modern"?

Modern according to who? To what? To your own whim?

Bush was President from 2001-2009. That's not modern?

You got fact checked, so you literally change the criteria so you're right rather than accept that you were incorrect?
That's the right's playbook defense, moving goal posts to fit their fucked-up narrative. Par for the (golf) course.

It's far easier and quicker for them to make up lies and then change the criteria of said lies as needed than it is to fact-check them or even tell the truth that benefits them.

In fairness these are Republicans from Missouri and Oklahoma saying this about their constituents. It's probably true, as applied to their inbred meth addicted constituents. It's not true as applied to the median voter for Congress or the Presidency. Probably not true as applied to the 60% percentile voter for Congress or the Presidency. Midterms are going to be a bloodbath for Republicans.

Last time the Democrats had a supermajority they commandeered the healthcare industry with Obamacare. I wonder what they'll inflict on Trump's voters this coming time. Certainly, due to Trump's obvious incompetence, he won't leave anything (his voters want) as lasting.

Here's my question, why were y'all chill about prices increasing for the past 4 years, and still put your trust towards the vice president who had every chance to help stabilize prices before to be the next president, but didn't do crap?? Then you're out here, just a month in, with a bird flu and 100 million chickens killed last year out of fear and think we did this???
That's two questions, but ey... I'll (also) take them.
1) what Biden did and didn't do might be up for discussion, but please don't presume we all but into the bullet points of others. Everyone felt the backlash from covid. Biden/USA did better than most other countries.
2) did you even read the article? Heck, did you even read the title? This isn't a part tense but a prediction for the future. It's a republican thinking that you're okay that process will go up. It's a flat out admission that the campaign promise is dead and buried.
Nobody believed eggs were going to be cheaper soon, but with tariffs on the neighbors and the dismantling of (among others) those who fight bird flu, it doesn't take a genius that things will go in the oppressor direction.

Were the games 16:9? I always thought they were being stretched, lol. Then again, I haven't revisited the Wii in a while.
Some would be if they detected 16:9.

cool you all let cranesbill derail this smh
He's one of the worst people in here tbh.

We’ve literally given the most money solo

The media is grouping all European countries together and pretend they given out the most
Is that supposed to be an argument? You call yours states and we call ours countries. We still contributed more.

Sounds better than $350 billion of taxpayer money being sent to Ukraine that apparently most of it got "lost"
As disgusting as I personally find this comment, I can't deny that this sums up a lot of MAGA mentality: they rather have their leader squander it on paid visits to his own resorts than help a (soon to be former) ally that's being under siege. It's not up to me to say how the US spends its money.

But to circle back to the OP: are you okay with higher prices when Trump happily flies over to play golf and has his whole security entourage pay him personally?

Something about an eggplant (implied penis), two eggs (implied testes), and a hammer.

A hammer???

So gas prices in Canada are now $1.65 per liter. Converted to American dollars in freedom units, that's about $4.60 / gallon.

The only US states which are higher than that are California, Washington, and Hawaii.

So a big fuck you very much from the rest of the world that doesn't share your desire for chaos and bloodshed, but are still negatively affected by your senseless wars.

Your president said it would go down. That he'd get it down day 1.

He produced a fucking energy crisis with his dumbass. And oil is now about 100 per barrel.

You know what would be really fucking smart?
GREEN FUCKING ENERGY.

We wouldn't be in as much of a disaster if we didn't let oil companies dictate energy solutions, and a presidential moron.

(And perhaps it was a even better idea to just. Not do what Iseral wants us to? You know given it's connections to Epstein?)

And bird flu is not an excuse because it was happening under Biden too, in middle of the pandemic, that doesn't excuse prices going up through the wazzo and inflation increasing, and tariffs we pay for.

I think it's funny that this thread is but a year old but had us talking as if it's from a different era. This was before the tariff implementation, a government shutdown, major Epstein reveals, the east wing being trashed, Canada and Greenland annexation threats, ICE killing us civilians, Venezuelan president being kidnapped and the Iran war. Iirc it was just doge and Trump being buddies with Musk.

Edit: genuine question: how's the price on eggs nowadays? As someone not in the region, I have no idea if that's been resolved. :)
