Hi I've had a modded switch for a while but haven't used it for a few months. I've completely forgotten which app you use to transfer NSPs to the Switch.
How do you do it?
How do you do it?
EDIT ignore that.Use dbi mtp responder to install your games.
EDIT ignore that.
Thanks. I see what you mean now. That should do it. Many thanks for the quick reply.

I've tried to install a game (that I've installed before without any issues) and it says "corrupted data. please run a check for corrupt data"
Is it safe to run a check? Or is that a nintendo message that I should disregard
I'm assuming that the corruption is due to when I installed the update NSP (32kb) there was a message on DBI after install that said something like "no ES patches" - but I don't know what that means. Are ES patches Sigpatches? I already updated them today to the current up to date sigpatches on the website
thanks, but I have no idea what else to do apart from what I've already done. Which was to download the latest Sigpatches and then drag and drop them into the SD root
If you aren't using Hekate fss0 boot method, sigpatches no longer work with Fusee alone, you have to use Hekate fss0 or the sys-patch sysmodule.thanks, but I have no idea what else to do apart from what I've already done. no but you drag the 3 sigpatches folders across to your root and then they merge with the existing folders Atmosphere etc. They don't go into the root

Well then your secret way of doing things is unique and not used by anybody else.
This is the de facto way of installing sigpatches. Skip to 1 minute 48 in the video. That's what I did but you're telling me it's wrong without sharing any info on what the correct way is.
I've posted another thread that's typically been ignored by this selective community. The issue being that it isn't sigpatches that are the problem on my Switch. I've asked on that thread if it's ok folder simply take the SD card out and format it and start the entire modding process from scratch, but rather unsurprisingly nobody on this forum wants to help. Baffles me why people on this forum pick and choose when they want to provide any kind of info. It seems to be more interesting to most users to just tell people how wrong they. More power to them!
I don't think it's a matter of people not wanting to help, or being selective. When a question is asked and I don't know the answer, I just don't answer. I'm not ignoring, I just don't know the answer, and I assume most users here react like I do. If your question is not seen by people with the knowledge, then it just won't get answered.I've posted another thread that's typically been ignored by this selective community. syspatches were a waste of time. Exactly the same error messagesI don't think it's a matter of people not wanting to help, or being selective. That being said, if I were you, I wouldn't mess with sigpatches and just use sys-patch instead. It can be found in the Downloads section.
On my system, I would use KDE Partition Manager to erase everything, but I'm on Linux. There must be a partition manager on Windows too, but I haven't used Windows in a while, so not sure about the name.syspatches were a waste of time. Exactly the same error messages
As per my plan, I'm not wasting any more time on this and I am reformatted the SD card.
I've opened it using EaseUS Partition Master and the SD is partitioned into 3 partitions. How do I get it to delete the 3 partitions? I can't get it to format the entire SD capacity as it's spilit into 3 partitions and there doesnt seem to be any way to reformat it into a single partition again
thanks, yeah I used MiniTool to combine all the partitions. On my system, I would use KDE Partition Manager to erase everything, but I'm on Linux. There must be a partition manager on Windows too, but I haven't used Windows in a while, so not sure about the name.
Edit: I assume you've already checked tutorials such as this one.
Maybe a driver issue on Windows? Try zadig. As for transferring files over USB, I always use Hekate's USB tools, it never gave me problems (on Linux anyways). Once you have your Switch recognized by your PC, you should have no problems installing games with DBI.thanks, yeah I used MiniTool to combine all the partitions.
I've basically set it all up now. Hekate is on it. When I launch Atmosphere and go to gallery I only have 3 apps. I want to put DBI on it but when I go to the USB transfer app, my PC isn't detecting the Switch is connected.
Is there another USB file transfer app on hekate/atmosphere that I can launch in order to get me PC to detect the Switch? I'm completely out of ideas as to how I can get DBI and game files onto the Switch if there's no other USB transfer app
thanks. I think I tried Hekate's USB tools in the past but I'm pretty sure it limited my file transfers to under 4gb. I found that it was only DBI that would allow me to move files any larger than 4gb. Every other transfer tool such as Tinfoil would just fail to transfer files larger than 4gbMaybe a driver issue on Windows? Try zadig. I don't think you ever need to move files larger than 4GB. This is a limit of the FAT32 system, which is the recommended file system for your Switch SD card. Installing any games over USB (even the largest ones) will all work on a FAT32 partition.thanks.
