you need to update your game in official firmware and them dump the update by either creating a second emuMMC with the Nintendo folder duplicated or by loading into sys with CFW. never take any NAND where you have ever installed anything with a fake ticket (forwarders included) online, it will get you banned.Hello everyone,
Nice topic here, cause I'm a noob on switch hack.
I am running my switch on emunand, games I got are working.
But when I try to play my cartridges games. It ain't work. Asking to update or just not loading.
I did set a hosts file to block connection "emunand.txt"
I did the nocfg=0
I did boot on sysnand and tried to load, but it won't change. Asking to update the game.
So the last solution I can see, is it remove the hosts and update game.
I think I'm banned if I do that ? Even if it's an official cartridge?
Any solution I could miss ?
Thanks you !

I see, thanks for your reply, much appreciated.you need to update your game in official firmware and them dump the update by either creating a second emuMMC with the Nintendo folder duplicated or by loading into sys with CFW. never take any NAND where you have ever installed anything with a fake ticket (forwarders included) online, it will get you banned.
I don't understand what you're asking. Hekate is very configurable and I don't know how yours looks.I see, thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
One thing I didn't try is reboot the switch completely (needs to do the payload trick to get back to atmosphere)
If I boot like that, no risk of ban ?
I might admit, I just followed very quickly a tutorial ahah.I don't understand what you're asking. Hekate is very configurable and I don't know how yours looks.
If you mean running with `stock=1`, from Hekate, that's safe.
If you mean booting Atmosphere on your sysMMC: Running CFW always comes with a ban risk. But if you avoid piracy and installing forwarders in your sysMMC the precedent is that they don't care or don't specifically detect it.
What's the contents of your exosphere.ini? Do you have `blank_prodinfo_sysmmc=1` set? It should be off.I might admit, I just followed very quickly a tutorial ahah.
I think something is wrong on my configuration, I'll try to search on my side what is wrong.
When I reboot to hekate payload and start sysnand, I still Can't play cartridge or connect to Nintendo eShop (connexion timeout, like if the hosts txt file of emunand is blocking connexion)
I'll check it later in the day and I get back to you. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate. What's the contents of your exosphere.ini? Do you have `blank_prodinfo_sysmmc=1` set? It should be off.

Yes you can. Each *nand are independantI have couple of questions its been long time since i touched cfw on switch and want to know how would i go about uninstalling sigpatches so i switch to sys-patch since i use fusee, also is using fusee still okay as before. Could i update sysnand to 19.0.1 without updating emunand since it is on 16.1.0 since i want to play online on sysnand but dont want to upsate emunand now

Its pointless. SX OS is defunct and you can pretty much do everything you could do on SX OS with Atmosphere. So uh I heard something about the SX menu as a NRO for Atmosphere

How do I do it
There isn't much difference between 19.0 and 19.0.1 anyways so I wouldn't worry about not being on the bleeding edge of Nintendo Switch firmware versions. You can download 19.0.1 on your sysMMC then dump it to update your emuMMC but only do so if you have never booted CFW or homebrew on your sysMMC.Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I am about to updated my original Switch (which I've had on custom firmware for many years) to the latest firmware. I am aware that the latest official firmware is 19.0.1. However, when I searched for the firmware online (by googling Darthst******) I only found firmware up to 19.0.0. I am a bit apprehensive about getting my sysMMC and emuMMC out of sync so I wonder if I should wait until a new release is out (but it seems that the official 19.0.1 came out in October so I'm surprised that 19.0.0 is still the last one I can download from that site).
Alternatively, when I look at this guide: https://switch.hacks.guide/extras/updating.html, it seems that it may no longer be necessary to source my own firmware, and that I can simply updated my sysMMC and then have the firmware read across for emuMMC purposes. Is that the way to go now, and I can forget about the Darthst****** website from now on?
Thanks in advance.
The golden rule of CFW is to never go online after using any homebrew or hacks and you will never get banned. Having files on your SD card is not indicative of CFW because you could simply be borrowing someone else's SD card. Plus, Nintendo might get into legal issues reading files on an SD card due to privacy concerns. This is probably been asked a million times at this point, but I need to be 100% certain. If I boot my Switch into OFW (via holding power button, selecting Power Off in Power Options, then rebooting without RCM), I can still play online whilst having EmuMMC/EmuNAND files present on my SD card but not loaded, correct? The Nintendo folder in the root of my SD card is untouched and I'm assuming that is the SysNAND? Only mods I have are for Smash and they don't load at all when I boot OFW, plus whenever I do use mods via Atmosphere any screenshots or replays I make are saved to the EmuMMC copy of the Ninendo folder.
Sorry for late reply, I checked and it's 0.What's the contents of your exosphere.ini? Do you have `blank_prodinfo_sysmmc=1` set? It should be off.

You need to setup lan-play for thatQuestion: I have 2 Switch consoles. One banned from online play and homebrewed, one is stock and has access to online games etc.
The modded / hacked switch is on the latest Atmosphere and FW 18.1.0., the unhacked stock switch is on 19.0.1. I have Mario Kart 8 on both consoles, one is a legitimate e-store purchase on the stock console, one is a pirate copy from god knows where on the modded switch.
Should I be able to do local wireless play with both consoles? I tried setting up a local wireless lobby in Mario Kart 8, and both consoles can't find each other. The game is up-to-date on both consoles, with the same DLC downloaded. Is this expected to work, or is it a given that this isn't going to work? I really haven't tried anything like this before and it would be nice to know if that's just the way it is, or if it is some user error on my part. Figured since nintendo's server's aren't involved in local wireless play, maybe there's a chance.

You should switch to using 90DNS so this issue doesn't happen. Go into emuMMC and setup 90DNS. Now this will block Nintendo's servers on emuMMC without affecting sysMMC. Simply delete the atmosphere hosts directory and you should be able to access the Internet on sysMMC.Hello, I want to access the internet on my SysMMC but block it on my EmuMMC, I have added emummc.txt to the atmosphere hosts directory but every time I boot my switch it automatically creates the default.txt file, is there any way to stop this? Thanks.
I believe they both have to be on the same firmware in order for local wireless to work.Question: I have 2 Switch consoles. One banned from online play and homebrewed, one is stock and has access to online games etc.
