Why not make every federal decision a popular vote then? Everyday can be like election day. We can choose whether or not to ban abortion, go to war, etc. I don't agree with every policy/law/decision every President or Congress make on our behalf, so equality isn't secured once a President is selected even using popular vote as the means.
