Is Nintendo watching us?

I've said many times Nintendo is going to kill us all, and, wait hold on, sorry had to check under my bed to make sure it's safe, but uhh where was I, yeah, they're gonna kill us.

Wouldn't it be funny if Nintendo made an alarm clock that can track your movements
They probably could track many users across the internet using their usernames, profile pictures and certain things they say. If they ban someone for cheating in Mario Kart then a few hours later that person makes a thread here saying Nintendo banned me for cheating in Mario Kart then there's a fair chance Nintendo can link that person's NNID to their GBATemp account. Friend code exchange threads are an easy source of information. In practice Nintendo will only track people who seriously piss them off.

I believe they have in the past requested certain threads be removed, and the admins have complied. That's really the extent of it.
And if anything gets past our mod filters, we may occasionally receive DMCA complaints, which we comply with - only after verifying that they are valid.

When this happens, the content author will be personally notified, to alert them that their content was taken down. Repeat offenders may get "warns" and other regular enforcement for forum offenses. This doesn't happen very often.
Out of mild curiosity -- is the staff transparent about posts being taken down for legal reasons? If a post is DMCA'd by a company like Nintendo, would that be public knowledge?

I'm assuming (fairly baselessly) that the things taken down equate more to direct piracy/sharing of copyrighted files, but for a forum that thrives so much off of getting mad at Nintendo takedowns discussion relating to Nintendo's legal actions, I am certainly curious how this forum might be affected by those actions.

There’s no front page post or anything, but the ones I’ve seen have had something along the lines of “Removed at the request of Nintendo” as the public deletion reason. I’m sure one of the mods is more knowledgeable than me though.
