Super Mario Party Jamboree has leaked online a week ahead of its official release

As is the case for most Nintendo Switch first-party releases, Super Mario Party Jamboree has been leaked, with an XCI version of the game being spread across the internet. People with hacked Switch systems are playing the game, and uploading gameplay footage online a week ahead of the game's official release date, which is October 17th. It also appears to run in Ryujinx, despite the emulator no longer being developed.

Will you be playing Jamboree? Either online, or with friends locally? Let us know your thoughts on the game in the thread below.

Wake me up when Sony's latest first-party game gets leaked this early before launch. I have yet to hear anything about something like that happening, much less a reversal on some of their more questionable decisions and changes in the face of consumer protests.
It happened to God of War Ragnarok. https://wololo.net/2022/11/11/ps4-god-of-war-ragnarok-available-day-1-on-piracy-platforms/ You were able to play the PS4 release of the game a couple hours earlier than legitimate digital copies. https://x.com/Cyberpt1000/status/1590193952061534208 A couple of people were even hand chosen to test earlier too. It was very, very lowkey though.

I beat you to it

Game's actually pretty fun. I'm missing a local wireless option though, would've been especially perfect here.

Inside job. Likely a review copy dumped. Honestly? It’s so frequent that I don’t believe it’s unintentional..

Probably someone who works at a retailer. Shops get copies early, person working at (store name) snags a copy and dumps it with their modded Switch, easy peasy.

I started it up a bit ago, and it seems pretty decent. I like the different board options, which is good, and more characters are always nice.

Kind of annoyed that it seems like there's no local wireless play though, you either have to play together on one system or you have to pay for Switch Online to play with other Switch's, which is kinda disappointing. I liked being able to play with my wife and daughter on our own Switch's without having to pay for online. :/
How are you able to play your game backup when the game has not been released?

... But with Nintendo having taken down switch emulators, there's no way to play it. :tpi:
You can play it using the Switch.

That's how scene groups operate, or it's just one individual person doing the leak. I'm thinking the latter.

Are we seriously surprised about this…?
It's just a reminder to let people know that it works.

I would be surprised if it didn’t to be honest. It’s a console emulator.

Anyway, guy I know who owns a franchised videogame store has the games already and is selling them to regulars who ask them for it. He did the same with other Nintendo games. I’m not going to snitch on him because he’s amazing for this.

honestly glad leakers still at it, I don't condone piracy but if we don't even "own" our own digital games how else will we preserve media. Oh how gaming has changed from the early 90's lol

I dunno, After how good Mario Party 8 and DS were, no mario party games have fucked that hard for me lately.

Can anyone source this without breaking the rules :creep:
Yeah, you can find the ROM on "those switch rom sites". Sorry that I can't be more Pacific.

And no, that's not a hint... just a bad grammar joke.)

Nintendo ought to plug pre-release leaks rather than use emulators and homebrew as a scapegoat. Oh wait that is probably not the Japanese way.

Hooray! Yay! Let get it now. B-)

Next one more Nintendo game in November 2024:

Mario & Luigi Brothership - Release Date 11-7-2024

I think this game will require firmware 18.1.0. Also maybe will be able to play on Ryujinx emulator.

Any new games come out in new year 2025 will require firmware 19.0.0 and newer. It would cause more problems affect Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD - Release Date 1-16-2025

Metroid Prime 4 - Release date: 2025

Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Release date: TBC 2025

Then Nintendo Switch life cycle will reach at end of life after Nintendo Switch 2 come out. RIP to Nintendo Switch in near future. :(

I think it would only be a problem to new users trying out Switch emulation in the future. What is needed are the keys of new firmwares to have new game compatibility. The emulators may not be tuned up for stable gameplay, but those games should be able to run. Every switch game gets leaked or dumped its just that gbatemp likes to target the bigger titles in these topics.
