Is it modded? If so, enter hekate , goto tools, and check battery info. Diviide capacity design, by capacity full to get a percentage of your battery health. Example:

You see it draining 500ma in hekate? That's not normal, usually it should be around 100-200ma depending on model (oled/v1/v2). also post a screenshot of battery info in hekate, it could just be a calibration problem

If you do a Google search for 'hekate battery menu', there are quite a lot of screenshots where the battery drain is around 500mA.
The playtime on a full battery should be about 3~7 hours.
If that is the case with your Switch then I would not worry about those Hekate numbers.
If you get far less playtime like 2 hours, then there might be another issue.

did you max out backlight settings on option?
well the backlight is low the most time..

So I had the same problem, and I got the same answers.

I have 2 Mariko Switch consoles with nearly the same age, so I could compare and knew something war very wrong. But no one gave me a good answer online so I ran a few tests.

In Hekate the power drained with the same speed on both consoles. But in sleep mode on emummc I lost 30% in the same time the other lost 2%

In stock mode the battery also lasted normally. So I decided to format my emummc and updated everything from scratch and now the battery is working properly again. I assume there was a corrupted sysmodul/patch that burned through my battery power
