Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows

Originally due out in two months, Ubisoft has decided to delay Assassin's Creed Shadows. Part of the reason for the delay is because of player feedback from Ubisoft's other recent release, Star Wars Outlaws, which garnered lots of negative reception for overly difficult stealth sections, which Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment has been tasked with patching post-launch. The company is hoping that the extra time to polish the game will make for a better overall game, and will lead to better sales, as their recent output has been disappointing, commercially, according to a recent financial report. Assassin's Creed Shadows is now due out on February 14th.

Aww, that's a shame. I'm doing a circuit in Tokyo in November, and I was hoping to catch some cool promotional material. :(

Now I'll just have to settle for Brothership promo material. Which is awesome, but still.

I kept forgetting it even exists, after beating most of them until the last few that came out. I think I'm AC'd out.

If I remember correctly, the gameplay for this one is more similar to the older Assassin's Creed games, not another open-world game with some stealth elements thrown in. If this is indeed the case then the delay is disappointing and I hope they don't overcorrect any stealth sections making them almost optional like in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.
