Ah and now it makes sense why they're suddenly trying to appeal to the everyman instead of harping on about the stock market like they usually do: for the third day in a row, the Dow closed at an all-time record high. Biden got 'em pivoting so hard that they're gonna break their ankles.

In before "the market is up because they know Rump is about to win" when these things have a huge latency and other countries affect it. Let's ignore that all of his rich person tax cuts only benefited the rich and he plans to do that again, taking even more money from us "poor" people.

Does nothing but talk about tariffs and still doesn't understand the first thing about how they work.

Getting desperate that they're just making Trump give a random person $100 to pay for their groceries. Would have been a better PR stunt if he paid for everyone's groceries in the store. After all, he's supposed to be a billionaire and paying for everyone in the store would have been just pocket change for him, but nah, just a single $100 bill to one person.

But at the very end, it's just a very obvious PR stunt to pretend that he "cares" for the middle/poor class.

Do you have ANY idea of how many shoes, bibles, fake silver coins, necklaces, trumpy bears, christmas ornaments, and wedding statues that would cost!?!?!?!?!

Edit: Shoot, I almost forgot Trumpy Trout! And no, that isn't an SNL joke, no matter how horrible of an idea it is.

Lol guy thinks that wasn't a scripted PR stunt. Also: I thought Republicans hated Socialism?
One time I had this big discussion ("argument") one thanksgiving like 15 years ago with my parents about this and the standard reply to this will always be the 'issue' comes down to choice ("charity") instead of forced ("taxes"). Which is a distinction I find hilarious because it's very un-Christian. Funnily, my dad ended the conversation by storming off when I said Jesus is/was a communist, a statement I still believe to be true.

Not sure he'd be considered Communist, but definitely Socialist. He never talked about all property and production being owned by the people. But yes, he was all about sharing and helping the poor and needy. At the same time, he denounced the rich, and said they'd never make it to heaven.

The level of demonizing Socialism in the US is really amazing.

OH YEAH we can't let people forget that the Republicans took 20K from a lot of people all over the country, including myself.

What $20k was "taken from you?" Are you talking about $20k you actually possessed, that Republicans somehow withdrew forcefully from your bank account? Or are you talking about $20k of other peoples' money that Biden was trying to give to you with an illegal executive order (to buy your vote) that you thought you were going to get?

I'm talking about what should have been a perfectly legal student debt forgiveness for $20,000 that I was going to get until Republicans decided to hurt the economy more. They are doing it again and causing loan repayments/interest to be paused with a forbearance from another lawsuit. If I didn't have these loans (like I wouldn't in some other developed countries!) I could spend more money and get more education to earn more on top of that. Allowing money to flow through the economy is what makes it work, not preventing it and giving it all to the top 0.1%. The former president doesn't seem to understand this at all, as evidenced by the massive rich people tax cuts that just went into stock buy backs and larger bank accounts for the top.

Congress needs to vote on such a thing. The President can't just declare a cash dividend from taxpayer funds to select citizens.

As an example, there is a student debt forgiveness program for putting in a certain number of years in public service employment ... Congress passed the law that made this program effective in 2007.
