So there's a thread on here about games that are overrated, and it's a great thread. I'm reciprocating that thread with this one, as we all know there are games that we just played the hell out of because they were so damn addicting regardless of reviews.

For example, a couple of days ago I started playing Bionic Commando again on the 360. It garnered average reviews when it debuted in 2009 (which is originally when I bought it), but for the life of me I could not put the damn game down. So now that I've started playing it again it's the same thing. I was up for two hours last night WAY PAST MY BEDTIME and it's one of those games where you HAVE to keep playing until you reach the next stage or save point, and then you'll do that again just for shits & giggles, not because you have to, but because you can't put the damn game down. I swear this game is massively underrated and it's just a BLAST to play.

So, I'll start with that!

Anything else Dizzy? Sure, here are just a few more...

Assault Rigs (PS1)
Battle Arena Toshinden (PS1)
Jumping Flash 1 & 2 (PS1)
Panzer Dragoon (Sega Saturn)
Panzer Dragoon Orta (XBox)
Godzilla Destroy All Monters Melee (Gamecube)
Psi-Ops - The Mindgate Conspiracy (XBox, PS2)
Hunter - The Reckoning (XBox)
Pitfall - The Lost Expedition (XBox & PS2)
Crackdown 1 & 2 (Xbox 360)
Alice Madness Returns (XBox 360, PS3)
Otogi 1 & 2 (XBox)
Quantum Redshift (XBox)
Mechassault Lone Wolf (XBox)
Flipnic (PS2)
Oh, and one more game... Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance (XBox, PS2). JUST. FUCKING. BRILLIANT.

And a shit load of others.

Oh, and one final game here... Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. (Oops, that's not a game, that's a movie).

I cannot account for PS4 games other than any DOOM game that's available for it, as my nephew gave me his PS4 and I've only used it to play the various iterations of Doom that he'd already put on his system. Additionally, I cannot account for any PS5 & Series X games because I don't own any of those consoles. Additionally, while I've got a decked-out PC, I am not a PC gamer, so there's that.
However folks, it's just a list to start here, but please chime in and let your gaming dollars be heard!

Drift out (all versions, reason: music and gameplay or even the view of how the game is played like super drift out for example is the top down/micro machines view)
Sideswiped/clash king v201 (DS ,a post i created based on the opinions)
Monster 4x4: world circuit (wii, reason: I have nostalgia for this)
Waterworld (Snes, reason: the music)
Disney: Brave (DS version, reason: the way things are done here)
Juiced 2: hot import nights (Reason: the music)
Pimp my ride: Street racing (DS, reason: the gameplay and handling model)
Gt advance (All of them, reason: it is basically a good alternative to gran turismo and the music is good)
Spongebob squarepants: supersponge (all versions, reason: the development of it, which has become infamous)
Tokyo extreme racer advance (GBA, reason: good gameplay)
Spongebob squarepants: the fry cook games (jakks pacific plug and play TV game, reason: the music and gameplay wise)
Ford racing (all of them, reason: the gameplay and maybe the music too)
Kids station: kikansha thomas to nakamatachi (PS1, Japan exclusive, reason: the music and charm that is put in to it plus its classic thomas)
Asphalt 3D (Reason : its actually not as bad as what people make it to be and actually it's got a 43 rating on metacritic but I don't bloody care about reviews, I care on my own opinion)
All the Victorious (nickelodeon) games (on consoles) (I didn't play the 360 title though or the wii game) I did play the DS games, taking lead was a pretty fun rhythm game
all the iCarly games on wii and DS (I did a post about peoples opinions on them) they are quite underrated but people hate them somehow (a bit overhated) they can be quite fun sometimes, for icarly 2: ijoin the click (most characters except main ones speak simlish somehow) the weird looking models have a special place in my heart lol
Spongebob squigglepants (on the wii version, BTW isn't the version I played but it makes good use of the udraw accessory) but I played the 3DS version and yeah its quite fun with the warioware type microgames can be pretty responsive (not many people talk about this title)

Agree 100% on Alice Madness Returns. It sometimes feels like I’m the only person who played it (obviously not, hah). I also think the Condemned games are somewhat underrated, but I do know there are plenty of people who enjoyed them. Condemned 3 maybe one day…

Devil's Third on the Wii U.
I dunno why everyone hated it. It's a good action game.
The story and characters are corny, but I don't mind that.
Yeah, releasing in on the Wii U was weird.
I couldn't agree more. Even with the things you mentioned, the corny characters and the weird factor, I still had fun playing it. But everyone I mentioned it to rolled their eyes.

I played the hell out of CONDEMNED: Criminal Origins, one of the few games I've actually finished/beaten. Fucking AMAZING GAME. And the environs and would-be killers are just amazing. I remember how that game starts out, you're taking pictures of that woman who was murdered, and you got one of those cameras that, when you press the button take shots, you hear that high-pitched sound that is right out of Silence of the Lambs. That is truly an engaging and horrifying game. Folks, ANINDIVIDUAL nailed this thread by bringing up CONDEMNED. If you haven't played this game, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy (or whatever) and give it about 40 minutes. At 41 minutes, you're HOOKED.

I've got the second CONDEMNED: Bloodshot, but put it down for whatever reason, a LONG FUCKING TIME AGO. I think I'll pick that game up again, (as soon as I finish Bionic Commando again).

Ha!!! Action, atmosphere and goofiness, reminds me a bit like SHADOWS OF THE DAMNED. Oh folks and, make no mistake that those mushrooms that float about? They're not mushrooms, they're DICK-hEADS.

True Story...

i looked that up on YouTube and it looks fantastic. Thanks for the recommendation! View attachment 456358
Yay! Don't be shy of using a guide in your first playthrough, as the maps layout and some arbitrary interactions can be confusing at first. But it is otherwise a very satisfying game if you're into it.

And no, having a "they/them" person as main character does NOT make a game "woke". Having a "woke" game means pushing woke agenda down your throat in out of context places. This is literally a game about high schoolers. Dumbasses.

People like to shit a lot on Goodbye Volcano High since its reveal trailer and even say shit like its parody game from 4chan was better. What an idiotic "opinion". The game is great, the story is cool and it doesn't deserve all the hate it has.

So true. I never heard of "Goodbye Volcano High" before, just watched the trailer now and it looks like a great game. Reviews seem very positive.

Gekido: Urban Fighters

I remember that game, it's been FOREVER since I've seen it though. I'll check it out on the Ol' Vita a little later. :)

Would you know off-hand if it works in Daedalus64?

Castlevania 64. I love that game so much I've beaten it like 13 times.
You're an avid Castlevania fan, too? I know about that one but I have never played it before. I don't hear a lot of people talk about it. What's great about it?

Im a semi-castlevania plan myself, with me finishing Rondo of Blood but I haven't been in the mood to play andly of the games lately.

I don't, but it's usually not a pain in the ass to emulate this game save for one or two glitched menus in less accurate emulators

Well I'm a semi-fan too. I certainly like the setting and the songs. But while I've played a few games, both classic and SotN alike, I've came nowhere close finishing them.

Castlevania 64, is just like, something else to me. I like Ocarina of Time for its dark but colorful, fantasy setting with stylized characters and platformers for the freedom you get in movement and the surreal environments you go through. And I like N64 aesthetic in general. This game is like a mashup of all that.
