Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

I never release dbi to public. Only share with group of friends. I create it for personal use. I do not need glory and I do not care about "scene". If it is not good for you, stop using it and forget about its existence. Or write your own if you can.

Ok now it makes sense, already forgot it
If every release group and developpers will be like you, there won't be no scene, and you won't have anything to install with your personal homebrew

You know you are really an ungrateful prick. If everyone was like you no homebrew developer would bother writing and releasing apps at all

Yeah i'm ungrateful to an overly smudge developper who don't even want his work to be used by you i guess
The way he talks leads me to think his work was actually leaked and it was not his plan for you to access it

Keep praising him then, and don't bother respond, i won't use this anymore

He might even DMCA his friend repo for all that i know

And i stand my point, with this kind of behavior, there won't be no NSW scene, no Roms, no sigpatches, nothing...so thx god they are not like him, there are ppl out there that actually buy cardtriges to dump them and share releases, knowing they won't be able to play their bought games online, that's the spirit, they are the ones that should be thanked and praised actually

Exactly. 680 times in a row.

I figured... so i should be grateful to your leechers
What a weird way of thinking, seems like an overkill amount of work just for you and your close friends, especially with existing alternatives, or you're just trolling and you got me good

While I'm not entirely fine with duckbill007's decision to continue to support the Russian version of the DBI and not the English one (other languages as well?), I believe that we should be grateful for the fact that he has time to keep it up-to-date and fix bugs for free in his Russian-only version (well, I haven't found him asking around for donations or similar). Also, it's ultimately up to him to decide what he wants to and not to do.

Thankfully, it's in Russian so it's not hard to translate / guesslate. It wasn't really hard for me to get used to, but it could be just me because Russian isn't all that foregin to me based on where I come from.

It is my hobby to create apps in my free time.
Not just some kind of apps but truly the very best apps!.. :grog: Literally there's no better title installers and all-in-one, unique Swiss knife universal homebrew app on the Switch scene more reliable than DBI for rn.

..My only tiny hope is that in English there will be much more plain simply Switch CFW users who may enjoy it fully, alas for those poor lil' souls who still can't learn our Great Motherland Language yarrr.

I feel it's a shame that duckbill doesn't want to continue releasing English versions, but if anything that decision is likely to do with English-speaking users being demanding and giving him a hard time, so some of the above nonsense isn't going to do anything to fix it.
I'm just happy such a useful and powerful piece of software is available to us at all.

As duckbill posted above, he has used software written in a foreign language before and he managed it. He's just letting us have the same experience. I just take it as a challenge, although it's a pretty easy challenge, to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if towards the Switch's end of life, he'd release a surprise English version to conclude the development of his great app on a positive note.

So, you can not even imagine that I just like to create software? And I do not care about if alternatives exist. It is my hobby to create apps in my free time.
Hi Duckbill wanted to say, love your and thank you for making this good app for us. Eventhough it's in Russian I will keep using it since I already know how to install and backup games with your app. Thank you so much for making it and keep going.

That's only because English is the most spoken language in the world with 1.5 billion speakers, that's the closest to a universal language with got on Earth, that's also why most specs and coding docs are in English only, to reach a maximum audience

Really weird response of yours...Russian speakers are only about 150 millions, why are you even sharing your homebrew then ? For the glory or for the scene and their users ? Keep it just for yourself then, I give up, this response is the weirdest and smugest i've read in my life

I'm not even an English native speaker, but cyrillic alphabet is really...LOL
Your work was good man, that's a shame you got that moronic attitude towards people that enjoyed it

Worst thing is, people are not asking to translate it yourself, but rather exposing 1 file in your most likely automated building process to let the others do the work for you
second one more spoken but your point is valid.

Even Chinese speak English to do business worldwide i'm afraid...so no, not really, your stat is bogus, native speakers are one thing, most spoken language is another

Let's bring back akkadian, ancient greek, latin, aramaic and sumerian translations, maybe some egyptian hieroglyphs

"In 2023, there were around 1.5 billion people worldwide who spoke English either natively or as a second language, slightly more than the 1.1 billion Mandarin Chinese speakers at the time of survey"

Russian and Chinese are the most difficult languages out there, with Japanese
English is for kiddos compared to those beasts of languages

And trust me, i would love to know Russian...but the learning curve is huge
I mean, even programming languages are not using cyrillic or hanzi, a developper will always be forced to learn English to work
Yesterday Putin humilliate a gobernant from Spain, that guy ask «in which language we must to talk?, because my russian is 0, (but then say the most stupid thing ever:) and I only speak german enough to say hello» putin next say: -If you like can we speak on german, I am fluidity on it, or Spanish, I have no problem at all.

Using as source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_total_number_of_speakers people speaks as FIRST language in order:
  • Mandarin
  • Spanish
  • English.
So should be released at least on that languages

English is first ONLY IF YOU ADDS FIRST LANGUAGE AND SECOND LANGUAGE speakers.

Rusian is the 7th for first language and 9th for sum of first and second.
