Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

I do not need it.

You always can ask about english version from "forked" version author.
You previously said you don't care if somebody makes changes. How would that be possible if you're not releasing the source code for the newer versions? Unless.... Is it possible to modify the asset section with an English i18n romfs?

Also, there is no forked version. He just uploads to GitHub what you release to the site we can't mention. How can he do that when you didn't provide the updated source code yet?

If the updates were mainly small things, nobody would care. But based on your changelog, it has some big changes for current firmware that everyone who has been using your installer for years, would love to have.

@duckbill007 Precisely, just expose the files related to translation and let the users do the work, we don't care about accessing whole basecode

I've asked on Github the updated EN version, but i doubt rashevskyv will answer

Just use the Russian DBI can remember where things are in the menu.
That's what I do.
This exactly! It's really not that hard to use the russian version of DBI. Guys, just use the last english version a bit to install some games or do whatever you usually do with the app, take note of which lines do what and in what order, and then you're ready to use the russian version. It's not rocket science. If you're really in doubt, you could capture a screenshot, and translate it with this. It should give you a good idea of what's going on.

It's a bit impractical to memorize every menu and sub menu in the vastly versatile app. It might be okay for cleaning up orphaned files and enabling mtp, but the app does much much more than that.

That's only because English is the most spoken language in the world with 1.5 billion speakers, that's the closest to a universal language with got on Earth, that's also why most specs and coding docs are in English only, to reach a maximum audience

Really weird response of yours...Russian speakers are only about 150 millions, why are you even sharing your homebrew then ? For the glory or for the scene and their users ? Keep it just for yourself then, I give up, this response is the weirdest and smugest i've read in my life

I'm not even an English native speaker, but cyrillic alphabet is really...LOL
Your work was good man, that's a shame you got that moronic attitude towards people that enjoyed it

Worst thing is, people are not asking to translate it yourself, but rather exposing 1 file in your most likely automated building process to let the others do the work for you

The most spoken language in the world is Mandarin I guess with 12.3% of ppl population, by CIA World factbook at least. Be thankful that the author isn't Chinese.

Doesn't that go by population (native language)? A lot of the world know English as a second language.

I never release dbi to public. Only share with group of friends. I create it for personal use. I do not need glory and I do not care about "scene". If it is not good for you, stop using it and forget about its existence. Or write your own if you can.

Curious, I heard rumors you won't continue the development of dbi. Will you release the source code for it?

Even Chinese speak English to do business worldwide i'm afraid...so no, not really, your stat is bogus, native speakers are one thing, most spoken language is another

Let's bring back akkadian, ancient greek, latin, aramaic and sumerian translations, maybe some egyptian hieroglyphs

"In 2023, there were around 1.5 billion people worldwide who spoke English either natively or as a second language, slightly more than the 1.1 billion Mandarin Chinese speakers at the time of survey"

Russian and Chinese are the most difficult languages out there, with Japanese
English is for kiddos compared to those beasts of languages

And trust me, i would love to know Russian...but the learning curve is huge
I mean, even programming languages are not using cyrillic or hanzi, a developper will always be forced to learn English to work

Some months this winter I was busy on other projects, but now I have free time again and continue to work on DBI. As for sources - no. I do not see any profit in that.
