How the heck do you use a custom WAD database? I wanted to poke around with it and see what happens if i force an injection on a WAD not supported and test it in Dolphin lol
also where do i put NES files if it simply acts as a forwarder for FCEUGX?

You can download the database.json file from here and follow the guidelines inside for adding new WADs, then open it from the app after clicking the option to use it in settings. I should have written another tutorial about it at some point but I haven't done so apparently, lmao
About the FCEUGX thing, if you're referring to the ROM, then it automatically copies that to the ZIP archive needed to extract to SD/USB root, and also creates empty folders for the savedata directory in case there's an error
Hi @CatmanFan Im asking before using but this project work similar as UWUVCI?
asking cause I dont see Pokemon Puzzle as a base rom and it was launched in Virtual Console
Im trying to made Resident Evil 2 64 work and knowing that pokemon puzzle has functional FMV I wanna try it

it is not worth to try to inject RE2 N64 on Wii VC, not just because of the big size (64 MB) and the emu only supports 32 MB, but also of the extremely complex microcode in it.

Yeah that’s not going to work, how will you fit a 64mb game into a 32mb emulator? I also tried jeopardy and wheel of fortune, which also used FMV, and it crashes on the classic controller screen. At least I know I’m not the only one in 2024 that still does N64 injection, and it’s not a very good base wad too. It can’t run ANYTHING. Not even something as simple as puyo puyo sun 64, or international superstar soccer 64 aka Mundial Ronaldinho Soccer 64. hope I didn’t sound rude

@CatmanFan or @SaulFabre not sure if this was brought up before but i would like to know if Sonic 3D Blast aka Sonic 3D: Flicky’s Island in the Pal’ie regions for the Genesis/Mega Drive would come to this Beautiful Injecter, it’s a 4 Mega-byte game meaning something like Toy Story or some 4mb game would fit inside, and also for compatibility reasons. If not then it’s ok! Although it would be great

I found a way to get Sonic 3D Blast into FriishProduce! Just thought of this right now
You need The Sonic 3D Blast wad
Comix Zone Wad
Your rom of course
CustomizeMii
And friishproduce obviously
I will assume you have 2 tabs open of customizeMii, one is Sonic 3D Blast, the other is Comix Zone
You need the Comix Zone wad and Sonic 3D Blast wad, take the VCPic, VCPiclcon, banner, Banner_Loop, banner_Start and Icon.brlan from Comix Zone and replace everything in Sonic 3D Blasts WAD with those and change anything that relates to Sonic 3D Blast to Comix Zone so it looks like the official Comix Zone wad, this includes other languages. change the file name of the WAD to something simple like Comix Zone and then change the Title ID in 3D Blast to MAPE, check "Offline Wad" and choose the one you will use, and then it will trick FriishProduce into thinking it's comix zone, and I have tested both WADs on dolphin and real hardware and ran into no issues and no bricks
I used Toy Story as well as the (Sample) version and The Jungle Book
Doing this also allowed me to inject Toy Story, the version that was released in stores in 1996 which Auto injectuwad clamed was "Too Large" for the base despite both games (3D Blast and Toy Story) BEING 4MB

Please note this will no longer be necessary in the next update of friish, making this useless, and I have come to also admit that I only did this so I could play toy story on the genesis VC without using GX
hey so i wanted to inject mario party 3 into a vc wad, but the program will only let me save the wad for not64, wii64, etc. not as an actual virtual console wad? please help

thats a Super FX game which non of the Wii vc SNES Emulators support which would mean its not possible to run the game via inject since they can't emulate the Super FX chip
that would be like "why is my PS2 disc not working in my later model PS3?" or "Why won't my copy of Asterix at the Olympic Games work on my Xbox Series X?"

nintendo could have just thought it was better in the Mario Party Series and they also didnt want to program more emulators since everything on virtual console runs there own emulator, most likey for the best experience

oh, maybe you somehow changed the injection method to Not64 instend of Virtual Console? in the bottom you can change it back to virtual console, but the game will not boot in any of the base wads anyways, romc wads like ogre battle 64 and bomberman hero crash on start up, and mario golf and the other base wads crash on the controller screen for this game so yeah
