Hi,
I recently got a modded Switch lite with an Instinct V6S modchip installed, and had a couple of questions.
First, before I do anything, should I backup my NAND? Even though I haven't started playing anything? If so, does doing this differ from backing up the NAND on a OG Switch without a modchip?
Also, I went into the "Launch" menu, and saw 3 options. I know that the emuMCC option boots into CFW, but what is the difference between "SYSMMC CFW" and "SYSMMC SEMI-STOCK"? The semi-stock seems to boot into the OFW with the Nintendo logo, but why is it called semi-stock? I know not to go online with the emuMCC CFW option. So, which of the 2 sysMMC options are safe to use if I want to play online?
Another question I have is that, since I have a mod chip, I heard that it may need to retrain itself when I do a system update (and something about using a magnet). I have AIO installed, and was wondering if I would update the OFW first or CFW first. I'm familiar with updating on a Switch without the chip, and without using AIO. I'm just curious if there is anything different involved.
Lastly, what does the light near the vent on the back of the Switch indicate usually? I know it's the chip, but does it show different patterns or colors indicating certain things?
I've attached a couple of photos showing the launch options and my payloads. The picofly tools in payloads stood out to me because I thought I had the Instinct chip. If someone could explain this, that would be great.
I appreciate the help!
