Thank you sooo much for this @ploggy and all people involve on this.
Finally last night I can make retroach work on aroma, and the last psx core uploaded, and is fantastic.

Tried several games, all redump (bin cue) )verified, and this are my results:

Dino Crisis 2 USA: works 99% perfect, some minore audio glitch (very minore). Played till first save station. Totally playable.

Brave Fencer Musashi USA (gosh love this game): Perfect, no graphical or audio glitches notice at all. Played till first save screen after beat Rootrick. Totally playable.

Rival School Arcade USA: slowdowns on VS screen, minor audio gliches here and there, especially on specials supers. Fights runs perfect. Totally playable.

Panzer Bandit JAP: Beaten 2 first scenarios, not graphical or audio glitches at all. Totally playable.

Tenchu 2: Played first taining scenario. No problems found. Totally playable.

CHD compressed games (previous redump verified):

Rakuga Showtime: No glitches at all. runs smooth.

R-Type Delta: Slowdowns on intro, In-game runs totally smooth, some minor audio glitches sometimes. 100% playable

Patched JAP to english games (fan translations):

Ace Combat 3 disc 1, ChoroQ Wonderful!, LSD Dream Emulator: All runs smooth. Totally Playable.

Goemon Shin Sedai Shumei: no boot, black screen. Wii U totally crashed.

Congratulations to all the dev involve on this. This is so promising, can't than you enough

Only one question.... Is it possible, eventually some day, not to reset retroarch after close content? like in pc, when you open menu and you can navigate on the same playslist. I dont know if make myself understand.

Yeah the Pcsx Core is pretty tasty now, most games I've tried run very well... and it will only get better with time ;)

Cores resetting after Content Close is due to the Cores being statically loaded (I believe that's why is does that anyway) what you want is Dynamic Core loading which is a thing that was planned actually.
Post automatically merged:

Goemon Shin Sedai Shumei can be played with Lightrec disabled:

Load the game, once booted goto Core Options>System..
Turn Dynamic Recompiler=Off and turn PSX CPU Clock Speed (%) to 31
Retrun to game and it should be playable :)

thanks again, your work is truly appreciatted ❤️

So... I was testing the Aroma RA and I noticed that only the first 2 controllers connected work on games.
For example:
I have the wiiu gamepad and 2 Pro Controllers connected, and I want to play only with the 2 Pro Controllers, so, I go to the input settings and I change the Retro Pad 1 to Pro Controller 1 and the Retro Pad 2 to Pro Controller 2.
But, when the game is loaded, only Pro Controller 1 will work. (Even when Pro Controller 2 can navigate the RA menus)
If I change the Retro Pad 2 to the wiiu gamepad, it works on the game as normal.
Also, sometimes when messing with the input options, it can softlock RA, (No controller can navigate the RA menus).
I don't know if this issue is new to Aroma RA or if it was present in Tiramisu RA...

Ps: Thanks for working on this.

To prevent this from happening, I use the configured controls in the hid folder to detect the auto remap and before entering retroarch I turn off the gamepad and enter retroarch only with the controls I want to play, in this case the two pro controllers
This part of the auto remap is so that the controls don't get buggy when you leave the control stationary for a while and it turns off, then when you turn it on again, it doesn't work within the game, leaving the auto remap to detect the path of the hid folder with the cfg of the controls this error does not occur.

Here are the Cores, I haven't tested them I hope they work for you :)
Hi @ploggy is the core FBA available for aroma? I only found FBA Neo (for aroma) and it isn't compatible with my roms, it shows a white screen with error message. Those roms worked perfectly with (normal) FBA.

Thank you.

There has been a problem with the FBAlpha Core with Aroma, it used to crash and show the Nintendo Memory Error screen.. it has been fixed tho so it will be in the official release ;)

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone working on this! Just installed Aroma beta-20 and the 6/3 RA, and I tried a few NES ROMs (Solomon's Key & SMB/Duck Hunt) which play flawlessly. No luck with Stella 2600 or MAME 2000, but I think I read that these aren't working in the current release. At one point I tried Asteroids Deluxe (0.37b5) using a recently posted MAME 2003, which played but it was slow as molasses. Anyway, really excited about this!

hey all, has anyone done a comparison with wiistation on wii u? was about to setup PS1 for a friends Wii U, but was trying to decide between aroma retorarch in wii u or overclocked wiistation? thanks.

What I remember it's for some month ago before my WiiU calapse, it's that both solutions are very solid. Hard to say who win.
PRetty neat to get a launcher directly on WiiU menu for wiistation with auto anabled c2w (more cpu boost for vwii apps).

Maybe with aroma RA today it's a bit faster to load than vwii. Get in mind that if you want a WiiStation launcher directly on WiiU menu with Aroma environement, with boot2vwii (.wuhb format), you will have to put your games on the SD, no USB/fat32 support.
Hbl2hbc (tiramisu) in the other hand, can boot vwii with usb/fat32 drive support and c2w directly from your wiiu menu. With wiiflow It can be a very nice solution, sometimes better than WiiU RA...
Overhaul maybe it's easier and less time consuming to get RA PS1 emulation on aroma. Or get a regular Wii :yaywii:
