Hey, Where's the IR support on this? We're supposed to have IR support on all this. This is ridiculous! Are the any progress on those accelrometer/IR supports, guys? :( All cores (GenPlus GX, PicoDrive, mGBA, VBA-M, Snes 9X cores, Nestopia, FCEUmm, etc.) need help on accelerometer and IR support, very badly. I should be on the RetroArch for the Wii instead. Any luck on the accelerometer/IR?!

Is it feasible to disable Gamepad screen in Retroarch to save energy?

(I play PSX games on WiiU, but gamepad doesn't last more than 4 hours. I believe if we can disable screen we can extend battery life).

Thank you.

I would like this feature on RA too, it would be very nice to have IR pointer and Accelerometer support on Aroma Retroarch.

You should be able to use this Plugin to do what you want, I haven't tried it myself tho..

The downside of the larger capacity battery is that the gamepad becomes heavier. The gamepad is not precisely the lightest controller to begin with so every extra gram matters.
IMO the perfect solution is to get a long USB charging cable, leave it plugged into one of the console's USB ports and forget about having to charge it ever again.

Off topic but TBH I am glad they are still making things for the WiiU. I thought everyone forgot about it.
Going to order one of those 6600 mAh batteries.

Thank you. Padcon worked perfectly and I can turn off WiiU Gamepad display while I don't need it.

One more option for gamepad power saving is a hardware on-off switch, either for the battery supply line or on the motherboard. I saw once someone posting his work and then asked a guy to do something similar for my gamepad. It's quite useful. When you need the gamepad - you turn it on. When it's fully charged, it can be turned off and placed on a non-charging stand.

So, there's 2 cores that im requesting for Aroma Retroarch, is the SNES9x 2005 Plus (because 2005 has the old sound from older SNES9x) and Stella, the Atari 2600 emulator.

SNES9x 2005 Plus i'm requesting because SNES9x Current has some slowdown in some games when Rewind or/and Shaders are applied in Retroarch, and SNES9x 2010 has the same issue, and 2005 Plus is a light core than the most recents, and better sound and compatibility than 2003 and 2005 cores.

The lack of a Atari 2600 on Aroma's Retroarch i didn't understand, like... one of the most popular consoles and a light core as well! 👀

Or do what I did, get this Gamepad battery mod off of Etsy. You replace the back panel, use a battery that you use in e-cigarettes. It charges using USB-C. Adds no weight to it. I bought it years ago and I still haven't replaced the battery inside. Can't recommend this enough, do it any chance I get. Just my two cents, carry on.

Well I can promise both those Cores WILL be available when Aroma releases ;)

Here's the latest RA ScummVM build for Aroma I'm using at the moment. I'm also including a temporary link to the full package with files needed for theme to work. (ScummVM can be rather picky when it comes to version of ScummVM.zip used with the build and this one works)

It is required that you have in Settings/Audio/Output:
Audio = AX Pro
Output Rate (Hz) = 44100

And in the core settings (once the core has been loaded and started) Quick Menu/Core Options/Timing:
Sample rate = 44100

It will then properly use the new audio driver, removing it as a bottleneck for WiiU. It's using a dedicated CPU core just for audio generation which is nicely possible with ScummVM - much like it is done for the Wii version.
This version also has Adventure Game Studio (ags) engine built in - many of those games should work just fine on WiiU. Exception being higher resolution 32 bit color titles.
Playlists are planned for this libretro_scummvm core like it was with the old one, and wiimote support ?
Can't test now my WiiU is almost dead ; (

Please is there a way to change the default core to be loaded by Retroarch?

Problem: Retroarch always first loads the core 'Gambatte'. I have to switch to "Pcsx rearmed" everytime. They say in the official documentation that RA remembers last loaded core, but in my case it always loads 'Gambatte'!

Change retroarch.cfg by hand, and change default core loaded here

Btw guys, there is a very cool option of the pcsx_rearmed core which is 'Fast CD Loading'. It greatly reduces PSX long loading times, by at least 50%.

just me or the 'Close/Restart Game' plugin can't actually close Retroarch? I thought it would be good to have it in case I mess up the controls settings leaving me with no input.
