If it's really a ninja takedown, I wouldn't surprised given that the domain host is in Canada (might be through a US subsidiary). That's well within the reach of ninty. Why a supposedly Russian group didn't register it through a Russian domain or even a Chinese one is a mystery.

Hi all, just got the mig+dumper and when I dump a cart the folder is identified with what i think is the cart ID. I tried renaming the folder+files to match a common name (eg "Super Mario Wonder.xci" folder and all the ROM file names changed to "Super Mario Wonder") but the mig will only take the first game and not flip between the two i have in the SD card to test. I imagine im doing something wrong but any help while i figure this out would be appreciated

You’re likely not timing it correctly. You have to eject when the light is green for the game to change

Most of the emulators can open directly the XCI file dumped.

Redump again and you can use NxFileViewer or XCI-Explorer to test and check dumped files.

I'm referring to the domain name and not the server itself. For a website to exist, it needs two things. The server the website is hosted on and a website domain/address.

Domain name (eg gbatemp) is held by a domain registrar. Domain is always associated with a registrar, that cannot be obfuscated. The server the website it is hosted on is another thing - that's the one you are referring to. When a takedown occurs, they will try to go for the servers itself since it's where the offending content are stored but if they are not able to find the server host, then they will try to go after the domain name itself and seize or cancel the registration so as to stop access to the site, sometimes both like in the case of SXOS. Going after the domain host also commonly occurs when a person is trying to troll or imitate a company's name or product. Let's say if I create a domain name titled "www.playstation6.com", sony would very likely go after it by informing the domain registrar that it is a trademark violation even if I don't have any servers for it.
