Hi guys I have an original Wii (whit GameCube ports) My mom had this Wii modded a long time ago and I remember playing games on old burned dvd! I now removed the mod and upgraded to 4.3E. Now I don't know how to let it run games from this dvd-R those any one know how to do it‽

P.S I DO-T WANNA USE ANY HDD or USB

How old is your Wii? If it's relatively new, then unfortunately it won't work. The newer Wiis have a different drive built in that can't play burned DVDs or original film DVDs, only original Wii DVDs.

Only way to accommodate for this, is with a modchip if your model is newer. Then again, you might as well play your games from a USB hard disk or flash drive.

Why remove the mod?
To play burned discs the system must be modded (either modchip or softmod). Easiest would be running ModMii to get a known good software status and using Neogamma for starting DVD±R.
Be warned that backup DVDs are read slow with softmod only.

Softmod uses debug commands to put the drive into a mode for reading standard DVDs. This mode was supposed to be for movie playback. For movie playback no high speed is needed. It is even a good idea to avoid high speed to suppress noise.
A modchip can unlock full speed for standard DVDs.

Your old solution used DarkCorp, which is generally discouraged as it modifies every single ios and can potentially interfere with other functions that expect stock ios's in these slots

Another alternative to play backup disks via the disk channel is to adjust your priiloader settings to use a custom ios for the system menu, like 249. However the handful of games that need a dif cios like 250, 248 or 251 will fail

Or... you can launch your usbloader and play backup disks from there (no need to rip to usb), and here u will be able to specify what IOS to use so you're not locked into just 1 like 249, and you can also apply other settings like video mode changes, cheats, etc

In case someone else is reading this in the future, all these solutions require the wii is either an older model that can play backup disks, or has a modchip allowing u to do the same

D2E is one of the newest once.

I honestly suggest you get a (modchip) DriveKey. It's solderless and super easy to install.
EDIT: Wasabi DX seem to be the one you need now days.
