Messed up a repair and fried "A". Sneezed while handling "B" and it disappeared into the 6th dimension. "C" might not be lying flat after re-soldering. Can anyone help me identify them, or point me in the the right direction so I can do so myself? Also, which of these would likely to have polarity?

Thanks!

C--> +AJZ should be MAX8969EWL50+T
Thanks! Now I need to just figure out how to read this..

Thanks for your answers! I appreciate it very much! Two follow up questions:
So when I powered up, the coil “A” started smoking. I had not placed a capacitor for “B”. Does this outcome make sense?
Are the last two capacitors (“D” & “E”) this connected in parallel?

Thanks again!

Smoking likely due to your bad resolder of "C" chip.
yes, D and E capacitors are in parallel

Ok. That makes more sense to me. Thanks for patiently answering all my noob questions 😊

For the IC.. this is what I was left with after desoldering the old chip. ie two pads connected. The PDF pin configuration diagram shows that B1 & B2 (LX1 & LX2) are connected together. Am I reading that correctly?

i'm not very technical at reading datasheets, but it does say connect lx1 and 2 under the chip on that pdf, thou this could just be a option for certain applications.

easier just to buy a donor pcb, and transfer the componenets

Hi. I've finally returned to my project and am sourcing all the caps and inductor. I'm doing this by going to DigiKey and searcing for the capacitance and lenght/width for caps, but how do I find the appropriate coil? I've done a search for a 1microH inductor, but the item that comes up looks very different. Am I looking for a specific type of coil? My search included "surface mount", "fixed inductor", and a length of around 2mm.

So after installing the components, the console booted!! Yay! (Thanks so much again @jkyoho). However.. digitizer does nothing. I’ve seated and unseated the ribbon, scrubbed the board with IPA. Nothing. I used a known working board and the digitizer works normally. Any ideas? Do the parts I replaced have to do with the digitizer? (Should I start a different thread?)
