So I'm using TWiLightmenu++ and nds-bootstrap to play Ds and dsi games but for some reason after I downloaded the latest update, whenever I try to launch the game it gives me an error saying "the DSi binaries are missing. Please get a clean dump of this rom, or start in DS mode.
Please help this didn't show up before I updated!

Just start in DS mode. Probably that was by default before and now it changed to DSi mode.
Better option: Get a clean ROM dump which contains the DSi binaries.

The Pokemon Black/White scene releases, despite saying DSi Enhanced, do not correctly include the DSi mode data, they are bad dumps. There was a way to patch the scene release to restore it so it will function in DSi mode, but took a lot of searching around to find this method. Had to do it to run them on my CycloDS iEvo, it only worked in DSi Mode (and that was the selling point of the cart anyway) as the DS Mode part was patched by Nintendo.
I would say it's probably not worth the hassle now. DSi Mode in those games gives you access to the built in camera (which is not very useful) and WPA wifi connections (like any other DSi mode game), if you want to use unofficial WFC solutions, WPA connectivity can be useful but the official WFC servers went down a long time ago. You don't lose much by starting in DS mode.

Oh, that was stupid.

I am interested in the WPA part. Are there any WFC servers that are actively maintained and "worth it"?
Wiimmfi and AltWFC are the main ones and I think Wiimmfi has more players, but still, if you want to play online you'll probably be using a Discord server or similar for matchmaking because you're not likely to find anybody playing online at the same time as you if you randomly connect.

How do you force Twilight Menu++ to stay in DS mode or automatically launch "DSi Enhanced" games in DS mode, i've checked all settings in Twilight Menu++ but can't see anything obvious.

You press the "Y" button when highlighting the game in Twilightmenu, a menu will pop up scroll down and change the "Run in" option to "DS Mode", if it was set to default or DSi. And it'll save that setting for that specific game.

My question is, would it be the console or the rom? I don't wanna sound stupid if I do. I had the same issue with one of my roms.

So, I'm having this same problem, I got a new rom twice, and it still isn't working, I ran it on DS mode, and NDS_Bootstrap got an error. I was so close to beating the elite four for the second time, and I don't want to have to start over. I got a rom for a different region, and it works fine, but it doesn't have my save, can anyone help??

Things you can try:
- Updating TWilightMenu (with nds bootstrap).
- Re-downloading the rom &/ or comparing its hash with a known good dump online, as it could be corrupt.
If your other games work fine, then the problem is probably with your rom file.
You have save already, did you delete the game or it just stopped working? If so, could be a problem with your sd card..

Ok, I’ve tried seven different websites with seven different rims, and none of them have worked, I didn’t delete game or the save file, it’s just the gen 5 Pokémon games that are Dsi enhanced and in the Europe region. Also, how do I compare the hash of a rom? And it didn’t stop working until I got the new TM++ update. And what do is A "good dump online"? I also have the most up to date version of nods bootstrap twilight menu ++

What about your other games? Any DS Bootstrap errors or any issues whatsoever?
I didn’t delete game or the save file,
You might be dealing with a faulty sd card. I recommend backing up your sd data somewhere safe on your computer, empty the sdcard and run h2testw with the read and verify setting, it'll tell if it's ok to use or if it's faulty.
If it passes the test, format the sd as Fat32 32kb clusters and copy your data to it, a fresh Black rom too.

You don't need the DSi data/ binaries, the rom should work on DS mode without it. And most roms online don't have it.
Also, how do I compare the hash of a rom?
Wherever you're getting your roms should have a hash code for each rom, so that way you can compare with yours after you DL it.

Don't think that's a TWilightMenu issue.

first of all, it's only those games. Second I'll see if it is the card. Third, the problem doesn't start happening until i run it in DS mode, and it is forced to run in DS mode. I'll also check out the Hash's.
