Aren't there a lot more possibilities than floppy disks?
Network?
Parallel cable and INTERSVR.EXE?
Temporarily connect optical drive on IDE using CD-RW for transfer?
Connecting the IDE HDD on a slightly newer PC for driver transfer?

Standard 1.44MB floppy disks... but they can be formatted slightly bigger capacity of about 1.7MB (more tracks and sometimes more sectors per track). Windows 95 came on such disks.
That brings back memories.
I don’t have an IDE CD-ROM even if I wanted to use it. I could use a parallel cable, but the machine doesn’t have a network card and I’m not interested in setting it up every time I want to transfer files to the computer. I’m not too particularly interested in networking this PC at all, to be honest. USB2 was the best option as I have dozens of various sized USB drives and it also allows me to connect various USB devices (mice, keyboards, game pads etc…) later if I should choose to do so.

Best part? The driver comes on a floppy disk. So I’ll add another working floppy disk (I hope!) and not have to make my own.

The machine is for old DOS games and AdLib Tracker 2 music.

you can use a cross ethernet cable, or a serial cable and total commander (the old one is still available on www.totalcommander.com)

on the worst case you can use IDE to USB adapters or connect the hard drive from one to other directly.

Found a replacement AWE32 locally for $100, so I grabbed it. It’s different than my old board, which had SIMM slots for extra RAM. This one does not have those, and I believe it’s a very early non plug and play variant.

Time to see if I remember how to setup DMA’s, IRQ’s, and all that crap Windows does for us now. I might just hold off. I bought an AWE64 that is plug and play. I might use that instead. I’m tired of pulling my hair out over this PC.

I go round, collect people's unwanted/broken electronics, fix them up and redistribute for free in my local community.

Every now and then I get something in a bundle that I keep because I think it is particularly cool or unusual, and going to be of little benefit to most people.

The other day I picked up a bundle from a gentleman who's friend had passed. There were a few PCs and a laptop with no hard drives, that I provided new ones for and passed on. Then in there were a few pretty beefy server psus modified to be used as bench supply's which was pretty cool to see.

Then there was this:

I've never really dabbled with amateur radio but thought it could be fun to try and get it set up and see what it can do

Ordered a Unicorn beetle case for my phone. I like the Unicorn beetle cases, they are alot like the otterbox cases but cheaper in price not quality.

On Amazon right now essentially of the same case from Otterbox Is $80 Canadian and the Unicorn beetle was $32.

Ordered some more supplies for gunpla and 3 more kits.
So the kits I ordered were a MG Gundam Epyon EW( I really like the Gundam Wing/ endless walts Gundam series), a MG Buster Gundam. For supplies I ordered 6 action bases 5 and 2 jars of Mr color GX 114 clear flat(airbrush top coat).

Also pre-ordered the Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial kit.
