Recently this month, i finished two-three switch games on my switch Lite system:

1) Xenoblade c2 (14/12)

I finished it some weeks after the DLC pack (torna).
it was so much fun, not bad at all. having gotten the game in jan of 22, i finished it in a year (main game + it's DLC).
I {almost} got 100hrs on it, only shy of 3mins. lol.

2) Fire Emblem Engage (12/2)

very fun game, wroth its money More FE you die, haha.
i maxed out Ike's bond to max (lvl 20) since he's my fav main FE hero, marth is nice too,
but Ike is the real boss & according to FE awakening & Engage charaters the strongest FE hero of them all,
why is that i wonder? .

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Few days behind schedule with my plan to finish this one, but it's done now. Had a lot of fun with this game, my favourite bit that I can remember was the whole final puzzle/boss section of the Champion's Ballad quest.

Zelda was so emo in this, I'm glad she's finally cheered up a bit at the end. And thank the Goddess Hylia that Ganon's latest incarnation has been vanquished, and Hyrule can recover in peace without his evil influence.

... Wait, what do you mean he's back?

I plan to play that that soon. I've been playing legend of dragoon, but I'm not very far at all. I already got 5 trophies just going through the first two stages. I'm download botw and totk to my 1-R switch micro sd card. I alphabetized everything, and I figured I better have this one in for pikmin 4 and the etrian odyssey collection, which etrian odyssey was my favorite series on the ds/3ds. I've only beaten the first one, and I don't think I beat the bonus stratum.

I haven't played any Pikmin games before but this new one has caught my attention, will try to check it out.

I got it with a voucher, which is also how I got totk. I'm all digital on both the switch and the series x, but the series x was just coincidental. the switch was deliberate.

Digital is nice, I don't need to be switching cartridges in this day and age tbh.
that's when my doctor's thought I had parkinson's. my grandmother had it, and my uncle has it as well, so I may get it too. I dropped the controller like every five minutes or less at one point, and it was virtually impossible to play a game. I'm looking forward to these seeds from botw, if they're anything like the power moons from odyssey. I loved those.

Picross S Namco Legendary Edition.
Another Picross game with all the usual features, but the content was fun and the aesthetic extras (game characters strutting their stuff in the background etc) added to the experience. The original retro arcade music could get a bit twee and grating after a while, but all part of the fun I guess.

Shakedown Hawaii. I liked it more than Retro City Rampage, its spiritual predecessor, but it seems like people feel the opposite.

Was probably my least favorite Picross game. Imo the art was poor, the music was atrocious, and because I don't live in Japan... was not familiar with a good enough amount of things. I felt the Genesis & Master System Edition edition was superior. :)

Fair enough. I thought that little green robo dino thing was so cute that I had to go look him up, he's called Wagyan from the Wagyan Land games (or Wagan from the Wagan Land games if you ask Wikipedia), I might have to play some.

Have you tried .stitch? Simpler than Picross but similar and is a pretty chill & relaxing title. I enjoyed it a lot.

Oh, yeah I liked the look of that, have got it downloaded but haven't started it yet. Will give it a go at some point for a break from Picross, thanks for the rec.

Goblin Sword. Cute little adventure platformer. A very simple, yet beautiful game. Totally worth it.

Metroid Dread was next. Not yet sure if I liked it. Too much E.M.M.I. battles and the last boss fight is bs when he shoots at you from the air.

Currently playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. THIS GAME IS AMAZING!

Just knocked out two fantastic indies: Neon White and OneShot: World Machine Edition. They've quickly become two of my favorite games of all time, I can't recommend them enough.

Neon White is a platformer/shooter, kinda comparable to boomer shooters that emphasize creative movement in addition to shooting like Doom or Quake. This is hands-down one of the most tightly designed, consistently good games I've ever played, and that includes Nintendo. Seriously this game just nails it, I can't think of things it did wrong. It's constantly throwing new ideas at you, successfully testing you on your mastery, and switching them out before they get stale. A good run feels absolutely incredible, like blasting through a good Sonic level. Story ain't half bad eitiher. Also it runs pretty damn well on Switch - a not-quite-locked 60FPS, which is twice what I was expecting. Cool!

OneShot is a short story-based game with a really touching story, some cool meta elements, and an adorable bunch of characters. The meta stuff is kinda like Undertale's, though I think OneShot does it better as a major emotional piece of the work. It's a short journey through an eerie, hauntingly beautiful world, and you develop a really special relationship with the protagonist. Impossible to say how without spoilers, but this game made me feel things I've never felt from a game before. Got a lot of Majora's Mask vibes from this one by the end. A thought-provoking gem that'll leave you aching for more.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Had a lot of fun with this, it's not perfect but it's a great "2D"/top-down Zelda game, does new things but plenty of familiarity of the classic Zelda stuff. The Gerudo are adorable. Good length of game, not super challenging difficulty but not too easy to be boring. Performance didn't bother me with overclock, I'm not mega anal about that stuff anyway. Loved the aesthetic.

Frustratingly, I think I did pretty much everything on my play through before reaching the ending, apart from three echoes that I missed. Just found one of them but calling it a night now.

Picross S - Doraemon & F Characters Edition
I haven't watched Doraemon, but you know me, always down for more picross. It has the standard modes and features of the S series, although the large majority of the main puzzles are 15x15 character portraits, which get just a little samey (probably more interesting if you watch the shows tbh), and only one page of 20x15 at the end. Got the few extra-large puzzles in the Extra mode tho so there's that.
Music catchy af tbh, I still don't know if I should try watching Doraemon or if it's primarily for kids.
