Why does Luma3DS include a feature that crashes your console on boot?

If you set your Luma3DS to auto-open the DSi homebrew menu, it starts crashing on boot until you set the option to "off"... why is it even there if it just crashes the 3DS? Was the new Luma3DS even tested?

Did you install the bootstrap cia from here? https://github.com/devkitPro/nds-hb-menu/releases/tag/v0.7.1.

Because you need to it even tells you this on the luma github.

It only has install instructions for flashcarts...

In the package on the link I posted above you copy the bootstrap.cia to the install folder on your 3ds sd card. Install the cia with FBI. Problem solved

I know this is a little old, but what is FBI and how do you install with it? I've been googling since 8am this morning and can't find a simple set of instructions about what FBI even is

You should make your own post asking but its an installer, you use it to install other programs.
