fyi, everyone, that is the official discord server for anything related to rsdk versions and the different sonic builds.
Btw, are there any other places for rsdk stuff, like other threads here for specific modding etc or anything else too, just wanted to know

btw, that discord server has some mod sections. I think they're abandoning the android ones or some are since there are so many problems with it.

I think so. I've read somewhere, I think, that it's possible to mismatch rsdk versions and make it work, but I do not know how. I think it might be in the faq on one of the githubs. rsdkv5 is mania, rsdk4 is sonic1, maybe 2 as well, and I think 3 is sonic cd.
I made that one for the pc, since normal v5 had a couple lines of code that caused it not to compile.

not really. I'm good at compiling, I guess. I've compiled every version of sonic mania.
You must have done some coding for it if you've compiled every version, or you've just been hit with 100% luck stats
I don't know code, but I can change it if given instructions. I caught the eye of the rsdk team on discord. they knew I had been uploading plus versions of every system, and they told me to stop. out of respect, I've done so. I know how to disable plus now. it actually requires putting in a few characters of code to the make or cmake file if it's android.

I pretty much learned how to compile from lightning mods of the ps4 scene, when I compiled his hb store. I've needed help a few times with really weird compiles or missing dependencies that I was unaware of. there wasn't much trouble with the sonic mania builds, but I still can't get the ps3 version to run on original hardware. with that, you have to delete a certain part of the cflags iirc to make it plus, since it's disabled by default, the only one I know of that is. it does run in an emulator, and I told the dev about it.
I forgot, but I haven't made the Mac ones, since I don't own a Mac. I think that and ios use x-code, which is closed source afaik, so you have to compile them on a mac.

There's also one for Sonic Mania Plus.
I just tested it out. It greatly improves performance in the bonus stages. It removes trees and birds but that's a fair price to pay for better performance.
