If "Inferno Cache" is set to "LRU" and "Force Extra Memory" is set to "Always", the PSP freezes and restarts some seconds after exiting PSP games on ARK-4 after pressing the "PS" button and clicking "Yes". I'm on HENkaku 3.60.

Also, PS Vita's/PS TV's standalone ARK-4 often crashes in the "#ChovySign" part with a C1-2858-3 error message after running it, and when it doesn't, it often crashes with a C1-2858-3 error message after running PSP ISOs.

Maybe disable Inferno Cache, it's a feature from long ago before CSO readers were optimized, it's largely useless today that we have much better CSO reader and only consumes (lots of) extra RAM.

Also, don't force extra RAM unless really needed, it tends to mess with retail games and some plugins (specially cheat devices like cwcheat), most homebrews can handle it automatically without having to enable this feature. The only plugin that requires it that I know of is PRO Online.

Didn't you say you were going to ignore me?

Anyway, I don't have any CSO games (I only have ISOs) so "Inferno Cache" should be set to "Off", anyway.

I'll set "Force Extra Memory" to "Disabled" too (I don't even have CWCheat), then.

Also, could you help me with PS Vita's/PS TV's standalone ARK-4's C1-2858-3 error message issue?

I'll keep Force Extra Memory disable (I don't eve use cwcheat), then. What's PRO Online?

Could you help me with the PS Vita's/PS TV's boot and C1-2858-3 issues?
The kernel exploit for ps vita is unstable and crashes sometimes, the only thing you can do is reboot the system and try again. I'm sorry but I don't have plans on correcting this at the moment.

So, now you admit it actually has an issue? You even admit it in ARK-4's GitHub repository instructions.

I find it odd PS Vita's standalone ARK-4 was out in such a state and even weirder the developer assumes the issue but doesn't want to fix it in the near future.

I still have this C1-2858-3 error message issue with the new FastARK version.

Could you help me with this problem on ARK-4 too?

Also, if the "Inferno Cache" setting is a feature from long ago before CSO readers were optimized, it's largely useless today that we have much better CSO readers and only consumes (lots of) extra RAM and because of this you said that maybe I should try disabling it, why is it set to "LRU" and not to "Off" by default?

The latest version's "Custom Launcher" doesn't show one of my games (at least) and they're not following an alphabetical order (when I already set it to show them like that) since there are some whose names begin with an "A" and that appear last.

Check the settings, there was a recent change in the name of the config file for the launcher, making all settings go back to default.

Thanks, issue fixed.

Is there a way to save XMB's "Custom Firmware Settings" and Custom Launcher's "CFW Settings" every time a new version is out and the "ARK_01234 folder" is replaced or since they're tied to this folder which in turn is replaced, there isn't?

There's not much you can do, these things happen very rarely though.

But it's happening to me every time a new version is out.

Like I said, there's (at least) a PSP game (european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – The Amazing Allies Edition) that appears on the XMB but not on the "Custom Launcher".

Also, why does Custom Launcher's "CFW Settings" exist on the "Custom Launcher" when these settings can be changed on the XMB?

For reasons I won't get to explain now, I will not work on the official PSPemu version of ARK. A better method will be available soon.

Also, there's a PSP ISO which shows up in XMB but not in the Custom Launcher (Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies Edition).
Probably has special characters in the name.

Why does Custom Launcher even exist when one can access games, DLC and homebrew on the XMB?
Because the XMB isn't available in official PSPemu, because it's easier to add features like file browser and FTP, and because a lot of people don't like the XMB. The custom launcher an work as either a replacement or an extension to the XMB, depending on your needs and tastes.

But I was having this problem on a previous release on both the XMB and the "Custom Launcher" until it was fixed so there's a regression and isn't it odd I don't have this problem on both the XMB and the "Custom Launcher" but only in the latter unlike before?

What is the official PSPemu? Just because the XMB wasn't available on the PSPemu it doesn't mean you had to create the "Custom Launcher". Which features does the "Custom Launcher" have that the XMB doesn't?

Also, why does the Custom Launcher's "CFW Settings" exist when these settings can be changed on the XMB?

When running the european Tekken 6 PSP ISO, the PSP turns off even with all default "Custom Launcher" settings and XMB's "Custom Firmware Settings".

Tekken 6's issue was fixed in the latest ARK-4 version.

After copying ARK-4's latest version's "ARK_01234" folder and running "ARK Loader", I have this issue (which I also had on PS Vita's/PS TV's standalone ARK-4).

Yes seems like one of the builds was messed up. Should be fixed now.

Now, when running "ARK Loader" on the PSP, it says ARK4.BIN wasn't found in the "ARK_01234" folder and I no longer have CFW installed so I can't use PSP-FTPD, so I'll have to connect the PSP's Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible microSD adapter which is breaking to the USB 3.0 microSD card reader or use the PSP's USB cable.

Also, when connecting the PSP to the PC's 2 USB 3.0 ports via USB cable, it keeps disconnecting as soon as I barely touch the PSP's USB cable, but not if I connect it to the remaining USB port, which is USB 2.0. I don't have this problem if I connect the PSP's USB cable to another PC's USB 3.0 (and USB 2.0) ports.

EDIT: After all the PSP freezes and restarts some seconds only after exiting said game (european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – The Amazing Allies Edition) on ARK-4 after pressing the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" and not after exiting PSP games in general on ARK-4 after pressing the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" and only with "Force Extra Memory" set to "Always" so "Inferno Cache" being set to "LRU" as well doesn't have to do with it. I'll set the latter to "LRU" again since it's the default setting (again, I don't know why it is set as such by default instead of "Off" since you said it's a feature from long ago before CSO readers were optimized, it's largely useless today that we have much better CSO readers and only consumes [lots of] extra RAM and because of this you said that maybe I should try disabling it).

I replaced the "–" on said game (european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies) with a "-" and I'm not having the previous problems regarding it (the game appearing on the XMB but not on the "Custom Launcher" and the PSP freezing and restarting some seconds after exiting the game on ARK-4 after pressing the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" with only "Force Extra Memory" set to "Always". I'll keep "Force Extra Memory" set to "Disabled" since it's the default setting). I had to use an USB cable to connect the PSP to the PC to change the game's name since nothing happened after I renamed it on ARK-4's "Files" and the game's name was too long for the "–" to even appear on FileZilla Client.

Those are non-latin1 characters, they can be run but you won't be able to do any file operations on them.

Said game (european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies) with the "–" appears on the "Custom Launcher" with an odd name so I'll replace the "–" with a "-" again.
