How could i export a 3DS save file from a SD card?

I want to export my 3DS games saves to my computer to import it back in my SD card so i can load the save in the future.
Is there anyway it can be done? Or is it a no no?

yes, you can transfer to pc no problem. you can even transfer them to another 3ds via checkpoint.

Alrighty, thanks man imma do it, i thought Checkpoint was supposed to be somekind of save state for CIA installed games.
But hey, how heavy these files usually are? Depending on it i'll have to free some space on my SD.

they're not very big, probably kilobytes.
