Not sure if it's due to the signature patches but I updated all the files for the Firmware 16.0.0 upgrade (Pre-release atmosphere, fusee, Hekate, Signature patches from the link above) and I am able to boot as far as the "Nintendo Switch" logo and it appears to freeze there. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Move/rename /atmosphere/contents to /atmosphere/contents.bk and try again.

As long as Tesla Menu, saltyNX, Reverse-NX-RT and all OC stuff is working fine I wouldn't mind updating...

It sounds like Tesla is getting updated, and overlays for it might need updates too, I've already seen an update for Fast CFW Switch. Probably worth watching & waiting a bit longer until all the vitals are confirmed to work.

Yeah, but take care of follow all steps:

upgrade ANY sysmodule, cheat, and similar on you setup.
REMOVE ALL THEMES.
upgrade all homebrew you have installed.
then and only then
upgrade your atmosphère FROM THE OFFICIAL GITHUB PACKAGE.
if you use hekate upgrade it also.
upgrade your files on the SD:/bootloader/paylads.
and please do not forget to update your injector payload.

It's more like check if your homebrew needs to be updated, and be prepared if It's old it might not have one
