Anyone got something yet? I changed from Maddening to Hard because I was salty that the mode basically removed Skirmishes and in turn made the whole Donation feature useless. Big chunk of the game gone.
Sadly the game feels too easy on hard, I haven't even done any grinding, the enemy stats are just too low to really be any challenge if you're somewhat experienced.

I was on hard mode so I tried to change the difficulty, and it lowered the difficulty to normal (yeah I was dumb). Is there any way to change to Maddening? I'm so clueless with hex editing.

Would be cool but all I really want to do is change my difficulty and the game from casual to classic because I misclicked. Does anyone know what to edit in the hexedit?

Changed mine from hard to maddening using this

580F1000 00000000

Hey! I found the codes to change the difficulty

[Change Difficulty to Normal]
040C0000 026816DC 52800008

[Change Difficulty to Hard]
040C0000 026816DC 52800028

[Change Difficulty to Maddening]
040C0000 026816DC 52800048

[Change Difficulty (Off)]

Has anyone found a way to replace someone in the roster of playable characters with Griss? I really want to have him as a playable character.

As far as I can tell the difficulty change cheats only cosmetically change your difficulty. I went to reduce my difficulty after my save said it was maddening on the file select screen and the reduced difficulty option was normal. I also defeated the final boss after changing my difficulty via the cheat and it didn't give me the random growth option that completing maddening should normally give.

Did changing the difficulty to maddening reflect on the enemies' stats? like did they become tougher?

If I understand what you said, the "change difficulty cheat" really just changes the "appearance" of the save file to look like it has a maddening difficulty but in actuality, it's still in hard or normal mode. right?

when i changed mine from hard to maddening enemy stats went up. I double checked it.

Weird, I had different results.

[Change Difficulty to Maddening]
040C0000 026816DC 52800048

- This one only changed the appearance of the save file into "maddening" but the enemy stats are still in hard mode and I could still save in battle even though in maddening it doesn't let you.

[Reset to Maddening Difficulty]
580F0000 05EBF128
580F1000 000000B8
580F1000 00000000
780F0000 00000030
640F0000 00000000 00000002

- This actually changes the enemy's stats and adds more enemies per battle. Also, it removes the ability to save in battle which is intended in maddening.

*If you really want to know if the difficulty is really changed after using the cheat, go to your room and check your bed and select "Change Difficulty" and check your current difficulty.

any cheat/hack/editor can change game mode from casual to classic?
yes,casual to classic.
Casual mode makes me so lazy to reset game when unit died. It‘s too boring.

So I have no idea about using a hex editor etc, but how hard would it be to change the bonds rings rank?
