Can the switch modchip D0 point on the oled be done in a solderless fashion? Or does the install require a heatgun of the emmc area with adapater slid into place?
The eMMC D0 adapter is a hard requirement for oled, correct?

Why does the mod chip need to stay in place after first glitch? I'm assuming the current hack is required on every boot? Is that do to the boot0 code being immutable?

It can but without hard soldering a wire in place or at least reflowing, you're dependent upon friction to keep your electrical connectivity.

Well, you could also remove the chip and hard solder a wire in place but you're probably looking for less intrusive, not more.

Yes, there is no permanent hack. Use sleep mode and you'll be OK. If you completely shut down or reboot it requires a new glitch from the modchip to establish CFW.

dns:mitm is built into Atmosphere (as is Exosphere.) If you trust SciresM to code Atmosphere...you could make the jump that he's done equally well on dns:mitm and exosphere. I've been using both for over a year and have not heard of any failures.

Right now you're not able to resolve regular servers and I suspect it's due to the way you have DNS setup. It's not on your network as proven by your Mac. To test, we need to ensure the data you have above is in the /atmosphere/hosts/default.txt file and that you have exosphere.ini set up according to the doc I sent over.
I set DNS to automatic in my network settings on my switch. 90DNS Tester is showing all my connections to Nintendo are blocked. Is it safe to say that dns:mitm is working?

Yes. Now it says blocked instead of unresolved. It’s working perfectly. :-)

now we can try tinfoil again.

Tinfoil is working perfect. Unresolved just means connection time out right? Want to make sure I didn't get connected to Nintendos servers. I am done using 90DNS, don't see the use for it since this is working out great.

Glad you’re sorted!

Correct…unresolved means no answer. Blocked mean it got an answer but it doesn’t work.

hello...sorry if this has been mentioned before, do i need to do any backup before updating my firmware to 15.0.1? (currently running 14.1.2). I I already update sigpatches, hekate, and atmosphere to latest. Just pause a bit before i update the firmware using daybreak to ask this.

So I have an RP2040Zero coming my way. Would I be able to do something to my stock switch? If not I will use it to improve my flight simulator deck :D

You don't need to backup anything before updating your firmware. You just simply update it like normal. If you haven't already done so, you should definitely dump your eMMC via Hekate but it is not a requirement for updating the firmware; it is something that you should always have on hand in case your device is bricked.

I had to phone a buddy at Nintendo to find out the backstory on this so you kinda owe me one. Anyway, he said they talked about WPS for a while and even had plans drawn up to implement it but forgot about it until the last day before launch. They finally found the plans but apparently Itsuki had spilled bean dip on them and they were unreadable. Itsuki was ultimately fired for his carelessness and ever since everyone at Nintendo has been reluctant to redo the plans for fear it would bring them the same fate. To this day it‘s called the Itsuki WPS curse. Ask anyone you know who works at Nintendo and they will immediately know what you’re talking about.

That or there wasn’t enough demand for it to warrant the additional cost/licensing/components or what have you. X+Y<Z
I like the first explanation better.

When trying to play a "backup game" of Just Dance I'm getting a 2155-8007 error when the game tries connecting to Ubisoft connect. It tells me I need to select an account. In tinfoil, I already have the fake account activated and it still happens. This also happens when I am on WiFi (using correct DNS settings from reentry guide) or if I activate airplane mode. No other games have issues it seems. I've read about some Linkahlo app but it seems like it would do the same thing tinfoil is supposed to do. Anyone know a solution?

Current Version: 15.0.1/AMS 1.4.0/E

Are you referring to Just Dance 2023? Some people got it working, I believe. Take a look at this thread.
Or tag user @w350922439 directly if you prefer.

I'm sure this has been answered on the forums, so many times you all are prolly sick of this question. I have a hacked switch. Bought it shortly after they first started selling them. A while back, the SD card died. It has been a long time since I hacked it, so I can't remember all the steps. I have it running on CFW again, and it works great. However, it will no longer play my game backups. I remember that there were a couple of files needed to play backups, but I cannot remember the file names and where to put them on the card. By that I mean do they go in the root of the SD card, or a sub folder? I'm not asking where to get the files. Just the names and where to put them. Thanks in advance for any help.

hello, I'm a total newbie so forgive me if I ask about things that're dumb or already answered (tried to use search but I cannot found it). I bought switch lite relatively cheap, so I consider migration from my old ps vita to switch after jailbreaking it.

1. I have some experience with smd soldering so modchip should be doable, but I cannot understand one thing - some HWFLY modchips have additional "power delivery 3.3V flex" from nand flex, and some dont:

I also found a video from ModzvilleUSA and he soldered version without that 3.3V arm. Is that 3.3V arm not need on switch lite or what? If not needed then on what pin the 3.3V is delivered to modchip?

2. I readed mixed answers about is it possible to boot into official os after installing hwfly. So is it possible or no? I meant case when I use CFW for offline retro games, with possibility to reboot and boot into official OS where I can play online games or download updates for games that I'll buy. If yes then how? After rebooting with some combination of buttons etc?

3. On aliexpress there are hwfly lite v5. Is it worth buying, or should I try hwfly lite 4.2 (because more people do it or something like that)?

Cheers.
